"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

There's nothing wrong with having high standards, everyone has them. But once it reaches the point that someone rejects someone else before giving them a shot, it's already over. Everyone's ego is inflating too big in these big cities.

So with that said, a lot of women I've come across, especially the ones who are still very much single are extremely picky. And the dumbest sh!t is they dont even have anything to offer themselves, be it looks, a body, or even a career for that matter.
Attraction is a tricky thing, you cant control it.

I'm in my early 20's, I'm open to dating inside or outside my race, you dont even have to be a model or a perfect 10. as long as im attracted to her is all that matters. What pisses me off is that some girls write me off w/o giving me a chance, be it offline or online...no matter what you do/say, you never know what someone's thinking. A lot of these girls have more serious issues than just being picky, they are this way because they fear taking a risk and being rejected.
The other day I was at a bar over at the counter enjoying a beer. Ironically that same day there was a speed-dating event going on in the lounge area. Halfway into it, this woman almost into her 30's came over I introduced myself and we had a small chat...I asked her how it went..her response was of disappointment, and she left before the thing ended. So there I am thinking to myself, "she has no reason to be picky, she's a 4.5 at best and she's getting old."...society is crumbling as we know it.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

I don't know, I enjoy feeling comfortable enough to be picky about who I decide to give a chance. Ever think that if people were more discerning about who they choose to marry the divorce rate could be lower? Albeit people would need to recognize the best type of partner for their personality, looks alone can sustain a relationship for only so long.

yea thats my point, everyone judge's a book by its cover so quick nowadays that they dont even have a chance to get to know one's personality. But i think the concept of 'having choices' are getting into a lot of people's head, especially when they have nothing to offer themselves to backup their 'choice selection'.

Evolution = pickiness
Yes and no. If one's picky for the wrong reasons then it's already over. Or if one rejects someone first because they fear being rejected.

Yep, they definitely need to bring something to the table too; something of substance besides a 'wish list.'

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

oh please....

this just sounds like whining.

how many obese unattractive burger flippers are you willing to "give a chance" to?

i would imagine that there are LEGIONS, PHALANXES, BATTALIONS of women that you would reject at first sight, just 1 millisecond short of sight-unseen. and according to statistics, most american women are falling into the unfvckably obese category.

so how is that any different from picky women?

we're all picky and it is our prerogative.

your sentiment is expressed succinctly in:

"COME ON! GIVE ME A FRICKIN CHANCE HERE!"

i can sympathize with that. i can EMPATHIZE with that even. but that doesn't make it any less ridiculous.

that's why we NEXT.

we all need someone but we don't (any of us) need any PARTICULAR someone. and just because a girl or girls reject you out of hand, it doesn't mean girl #7 will.... so you next and roll through until you find something that'll stick.
