Howzit Ricky,

You sound like you have a lot of issues which are similar to mine. No disrespect to the rest of the guys here, but I think that most of them will not be able to understand (and thus help ) you in your current situation.

You are 30 years old, you need to sort out this sh!t. I'm 26, always thought it would happen on its own, and it didn't. I have recently been to a psychologist (only twice), and have talked about my problems...unfortunaterly I can't tell you whether it's going to help me yet or not, although just the fact that I"M DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT, helps me. I think you should as well.

It's important that you find the source of your problem. I have some problems with my parents, my social interactions, and in general women (I wouild say mostly because of negative initail expereinces and also the lack of a safety net social/friends). You will need to talk to someone about this.

Doing something physical (excercise) is good, although you have to be careful not to try and hide your problems with this. It's only a temporary fix, although it is constructive as well.

Go and talk to somebody who can help you in the area...initally I think anyone will do (professional ...someone you can trust - I don't trust friends even though their intentions might be good).

Method
#1) Exercise.
I was feeling really crabby and pissed today. I went to the gym and lifted and ran. Alas the pissed off feeling is gone at least temporarily.

But one problem with relying on exercise is that you can't always do it. Like if you are at work during the day and get pissed, it isn't like you can break out the weight set or go to the gym right then. So you have to find some other ways to deal with the negative emotion.



Have an ongoing goal, and participate in sports, hobbies and activities that take your mind off whatever is making you feel the negative emotion.

Improve yourself!

Yes that is very useful and helpful info justheretohelp.

The problem is that I have been doing that for 3 years, with no real and discernable inprovement with my situation regarding women. Otherwise in my life I'm pretty happy with everything.

I represent my country at a national level in sport - I initially did it so I could cover up my time and frustrations. Now I'm tired of running away of the situation and I'm going head on into it.

Sometimes your method doesn't work. ANd as they say, if it doesn't work you HAVE to try something different.

I know what my triggers are.

It's when I feel like I have too much to do, or when I feel like some of my goals aren't being met.

The best response is action. Committed, focused action.
