Qualification makes more hurt than benefits. A girl do not qualify to you if you do not have value. It actually lower your value if you do not have enough value. If you do not have high SMV or you haven't established enough value first, then you have to be careful with qualification. It never rise your value.
It is interesting when you see the infields of Todd Valentine which his game goes always like this: 1. Push Pull Opener 2. What is your story? (qualification). If you do not have enough value pre-approach, the push pull opener will never rise your value enough to make "what is your story?" qualifier works instead you could have lowered your value asking that.
Why does the qualification lower your value?
Both opener and qualification show interest to some degree. The effect is acumulative and if you do not have enough value to back up such interest, then you are in jacke mate (you are sold for her even although you don't want believe you are sold).
Assuming value could help you a little bit but many times won't be enough. For example: Just because you believe you are enough to play soccer in the Real Madrid, it does not mean that the managers will believe in you and will give you a chance. This is a perfect example.
