"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Hey fellow DJs, many of you would know about my plans on becoming more social, overall. That means going around feeling like gold and speaking to strangers, brightening up their days and mine as well.

I've made great progress, a month ago I'd never have seen myself being so open and natural at smiling/saying hi. People I meet often now obviously recognize me, but it rarely goes beyond a "Hi" or "How did your day go" type of shallow talk.

Perhaps it just isn't convenient(at work, rushing off somewhere etc.), but I was wondering if you smooth social players can teach me how to break this deadlock. How can I get to know strangers that flow through my daily life and engage in meaning conversation with them?

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

be genuinely interested is all, you might need to "pry" a little but if someone doesn't open up to you, you can either 1) talk about urself first instead (i don't really like doing this for too long though) or 2) forget about them and move on to someone else (if a "stranger" doesn't feel like talking to you then okay, that's justified, just gonna have to move on then, np)

Usually you can observe people's mannerisms and tell from those who'll be receptive to talking with you, so i reccomend that first.

Also I'm curious why you named this thread bus driver? As it turns out, bus drivers are usually receptive, though i don't talk to them all the time I almost always see someone who's at the front of the bus talking to them. Yesterday there was one conversation that was based solely on this 45 yo (MILF status) puerto rican woman's relationships and views on it, really interesting stuff, the same day there was another 22~ girl who kept on talking about god and religion, let's just say that was a conversation i didn't feel like getting into with them but it sure was hella funny to watch!
