"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Rise.
Today you will leave your house and once again dive into the world outside, tireing senselessly to better your lot.
The man born poor works for money, the man born lonely works for company, the man born homeless searches for an abode. Day and day they toil, and at night they dream hopes of their want. This is the habit of men.

What does a home give? Of what worth are money and company? Plenty, men cry out. They enrich life. However, in the face of what all life has in common, homes and friendship become dust to the desert.

This is why all living are mere straw dogs to the power of time. A force that makes us and ends us. A man's mind is a miraculous thing, but can do the oddest things when in the presence of such a master.

The dogs don't think so much, but perhaps are wiser than some men. You can work all your life to get better and better, but why? To be better? What does better stand for in the face of the inevitable?

The man who wishes for money scorns at those with riches, the homeless jealous of those with homes, the lonely spit at couples.
They forget the beautiful mortality that is the end of everyone. In the face of time, a man is but a dog, a dog but a worm.

The lonely will never find a soul, the poor never money, the homeless never shelter. Never untill they see the error. Never has anyone accomplished anything to get one up over someone else. Jealousy doesn't bring success. This is because to succeed one must first have faith. Faith in themselves. Men should never be poor, they should be rich in waiting.

In the face of inevitability, a clever man has two paths for him. Why bother? Progress is just an illusion. It comes, so why fight before it? Lie back and accept your lot son, for no matter how you writhe and turn, you will end like all end- the worm, the dog, and the man. "When the game is over, the king and the pawn go back in the same box."

This is the way of the dog.

In the face of inevitability, understand the reason. The universal point of life gives the beauty of equalty to all. Men dream of this, and it is what nature intends. The extremes are selected against, the majority prosper. It is a pity we cannot create equality in life that equals that of when the flame is snubbed out. Yet. And equality is not an excuse for dog-like complacency. It is a reminder, the sacrifice of the successful to remind all that life is attainable for all. Life always ends the same way, let this remind you that when it is your turn to go back in the box, you can have got there, played your part in the game, anyway you like. The poor man is not poor unless that is what he decides to be. Life gives what you ask of it.

This is the way of the man.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Very nice post. Nice to see some spiritual insight from a fellow DJ every once in a while. Everyone shouldn't take this lightly. Ultimately, all will fall to the same judgement in the end.
