In terms of innate preference, I think men are driven by two competing biological drives. The most instinctive drive is to remain adaptable to a wide range of female appearances. The more motivating drive is to define some narrow range of female appearance as most attractive and then pursue women in that range.

In this post at Audacious Epigone, we have boys being boys and fixating on the meaning of a status ranking of women, Maxim's hottest 100. Rankings that try to define the top most desirable women in the world are extremely popular with men because it tells them exactly what society defines as beauty. After reading MAXIM magazine, any number of young men will go out prowling night clubs in hopes of getting laid. They might have their hopes on snagging someone uniquely beautiful, but they generally behave as though they just want some girl that they won't feel too embarrassed about in the morning. And when they wake up and abscond like a thief, they will go home and return to watching amateur porn, which they prefer over the professional stuff. They privately yearn for desirous willing average girls, but they keep trying to believe that there is somehow something much more satisfying out there.

The beauty myth is an inevitable curse to men of their own creation. They can get it up for almost any girl. And they have to make life difficult for themselves by believing that some set of girls are physically far more rewarding than others.

Most 5's are 5's because they are fat (to some extent or other). Being fat is preventable. Fat is responsible for the degredation of the US' (maybe other western countries too, but I wouldn't know) female populace.

Relatively few women are 5's because their faces are ugly.

The whole "beauty is subjective" line is a way to make unattractive chicks feel good about themselves and shame men into wanting them, and a way for men to justify banging it out with a substandard specimen.

And as far as the ability for men to "get it up for almost any girl"? Lets just say that I've banged one or two that I wasn't exactly proud of, and I might have "gotten it up", but it wasn't anything like fukking my 21 yr old ex. I could stay hard all night just looking at that sweet little heart shaped ass.

I can proudly say I have phucked just about anything (legal, I should note).

I'm a man, damnit, I phuck. I'm not some catwalk judging pu$$y high-maintenance boy who is afraid of the slightest flaw or imperfection.

Of course I have my preferences and I'm not deluding myself with the "beauty is subjective" nonsense. I believe beauty is fixed and generally standard and biologically and evolutionarily dictated.

Sometimes my overriding concern is just sex. Not ashamed nor do I apologize to women or men for what I do.

BTW, women are just as shallow/selective as us...

Exactly, just because a man will fvck some girl doesn't mean he's attracted to her or would want to keep seeing her. But if he found her beautiful he would be attracted to her and much more willing to keep seeing her.

And since a higher value male will fvck a lower value female, this probably explains why ugly girls think they are the prize. The only difference is women are less likely to fvck a guy from a lower league and they don't have to because a higher league male will fvck them.

Ugly girls think they are the prize because feminism has sold them on the idea that they can do without a man. If women had the same fire under their ass today as they did, say, 100 years ago, things would be a lot different. Today a woman thinks she can "afford" to be choosy because of the "slvt it up till you're 35" mentality.

I think contrary to this woman's theory, it's women who are the one's living a fantasy and always trying to date out of their league. The only difference is women are less likely to fvck a guy from a lower league and they don't have to because a higher league male will fvck them.

This goes back to duality of women's attraction mechanism, hence the topic of this thread. She will MARRY the guy with "adequate" value, but the one she really wants to fukk is the super alpha/adonis. So she ties down the provider and starts an affair with her boss.

It's called "having your cake and eating it too", and women have been getting more than their share now for a few decades.

I've said it before but it bears repeating-

The way things are in the mating game today, the ones who benefit are the women and the alpha males. Beta/omega males get the shaft.

Moral of the story- strive to be alpha.

Interesting article and I understand the point Feministx is trying to make. I believe that nearly everyone has the ability to be attractive. I don't believe there are ugly people only out of shape people. There may be features that I might prefer but I think beauty comes down to a level of fitness.

For the most part fit people are attractive UN-fit people are NOT.

Yes I did notice that, they even start dressing up like "princesses" by buying expensive nice cloths and going to a beauty salons to do their hair and nails on a weekly basis but when it comes to dropping their weight ,the effort is just not there.

I believe that the princess attitude of fat girls helps to maximize their value over other fat girls or average looking skinny girls who act nice.

Anyway, do you guys really do sub-standard girls? I've done a few not-so-great in my days, but not in a long while. That was when sex was new to me and i just took whatever came along within reason. Now i just don't care enough. The last girl i remember like this, didn't really do much for me but i still had sex with probably 4 or 5 times and then each time during or even afterwards i'd be thinking wtf am i doing and i wasn't into it at all and even went soft a few times.

Ever since, I just go without if i must and am completely fine with it. I feel nowadays a girl inspires me to want to have sex, and not "i want sex so i have to find a girl."

I never minded a girl that was a little chubby before but after experiencing the girls that i can just toss around, I have no desire to go back. I had a rather hot blonde, skinny chick i saw for a while that i was never really that into because she was too tall for me - 5'8. I was bored and got rid of her and people still ask me what happened to her, and it's been 6 months.

Am I just getting old? I don't think my sex drive is any lower than before. I'm just more particular now, I think. Sex just isn't THAT great that i have to go for chicks that don't totally rev me up.

Oh and drum&bass kind of has a point but there are still lots of chicks i pass up because of their face. No amount of working out is gonna fix a queer face, but in general average girls would be fine if they were in shape. Especially since i work hard in the gym and on my diet, i'd feel like a doof being with a girl not in shape, basically advertising that despite having the body for it that i don't have the game for a better girl.

And now that i'm on the subject, i really need to move. I spent the weekend in DC and i saw more hot girls in 2 hours walking down the street than i've seen in 3 months of living here. bah.

See, that's fine and all but I'm just not like that anymore. I sorta wish I was. Not that i'm doing super hot girls left and right, but the girl should be at least "pretty cute," somewhat in shape, and no taller than about 5'6 or i just don't feel the urge right now.
