That could potentially contribute to us being bigger, but certainly not fatter.

Getting bigger would depend on or diet. If we ate a fat filled diet we would get bigger because of what we put into our body IE. Fat. Fatter!

As far as I'm aware, there is no hormonal changes caused by food, that could encourage our body to store fat.

Look up the results of the 5 hormones they are injecting into cows and chickens. All of them have extreme hormonal changes on the animals as well as the consumers. Not only from direct meat consumption but also in by products.

When we have all the excess calories without burning them our bodies store them as fat. Fat and alcohol are big sources. Fat has 9 cals per gram and alcohol has i believe 7. Whereas protein and carbs have 4.

true

In addition, with more women working and less time to cook, places such as McDonalds and such have been feeding families with junk. It's cheap and fast. This is one of the reasons why lower-income families suffer from poor nutrition and diets.

McDonalds and the alike are the main purchasers of the hormone injected meats. It is cheaper than natural meats.

Moreover, the occupational switch (especially in the US) to a service economy leaves a lot of people with no reason to have to burn calories. Going to the gym takes time, which many people are not willing to invest.

Agreed

That said, I could care less. I'm in fantastic shape!
Me too! My BMI is 23!!!

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Yup. it stands top reason all those hormones pumped into the chickens and cows to make them soft and fat have to be affecting the people who consume them in a similar way.

Let's not forget about all the pesticides, herbicides, and toxic chemicals in our vegetables and throughout our environment as well.

Organic, Kosher, and Halal food is well worth the extra cost if you can afford it, IMNSHO.
