The attraction statement that ruin my relationship with women

The more I get into red pill material, books, blogs, etc., the more I begin to understand many common belief systems concerning attraction in my native country. One of them is "La mujer se conquista por el oído," or in English, "Women fall in love with their ears." As I see it, this statement leaves out some important aspects of women's attraction, such as social skills, body language, being mysterious, being funny, etc. I used to believe this and thought I had to say romantic things to women in order to win their hearts. What do you think about this statement?
