"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

There isn't much in the way of Alpha men on television these days. The exception being the Alan Shore and Denny Crane characters on Boston Legal. Both are congruent, Self confident, slightly apathetic to everyone but themselves, and best of all they're in it for the women.

These are the Big Dogs pissing in the tall weeds. Guys who don't apologize for being men and having desires and, most importantly, having the sac to go and get what they want when they want it. No matter the cost.

I noticed something in last weeks episode, the way Spader held eye contact with Parker Posie. It had everything in 11 seconds. Drama, Efficiancy, Delegation and High regard for thier self worth. It was a moment singed into my core. The first season comes to dvd on the 23rd. Do yourselves a favor and get it. Learn it, Live it, Love it.

Any thoughts fellas?

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

I thought you were going to explain a paradigm to us. Not recommend a TV show.

My thoughts, what is your rebuttal?

I'm not out to persuade anyone to watch anything (albeit, it IS the best show on television).

My point is that the characters on this particular tv show have the Alpha/DJ qualities some of the brothers here wouldn't understand with only the written word to guide them. I believe there are a couple of wonderful examples that brothers here can watch and envision to get off thier asses and learn what it is men should strive for.
