"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

For me guys this one has become a real thorn in my side for managing plates and potential gfs.

I for one only like to text strictly to set up the next date not to chat. However, lately and in the past girls will get offended by it and say that I'm too obviously only looking for sex. Now some will just obliviously keep texting me little nothings while I respond as close stated abd simply as possible and others use it as a test they say to see if I'm only after sex or something more.

Being labeled a player is a good thing but can also backfire in such situations..... Which leads me to one conclusion.... I freaking despise text messaging... It always conveys mixed messages abd quite frankly it triggers my ocd tendencies and texting someone I don't know very deeply is just boring as hell. With all the smart phone apps today its literally impossible to avoid.

Had a plate tell me just last night she didn't think me and her communicate well, not sure this is going any where....this was after continuelessly complaining about my lack of texting in between dates. Not wanting to fall into her bs frame, I told her sge was right and to save the drama for someone else, bye.

But she was a reliable weekly bang on Thursday nights for me while my main plate takes my Saturday and my other ones I just having little interest in seeing them again.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Do you tell these girls from the very start that you aren't much of a texter and prefer face to face interaction? If not make sure they know from day one.

I am the same as you however I tolerate a small amount of playful texting between dates. I think it is a must in this day and age.

Meh, it works for me.

The main thing is to make sure you meet her emotional needs. If this means participating in a little playful texting between dates then so be it.

Other than trying to manipulate the emotions of women artificially by acting disinterested, there is also a more basic reason not to text a girl. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. If you're texting or phoning someone every day then there is less incentive to meet in person. Potentially, it can also lead to less to talk about.

I don't see why there should be anything wrong with telling a woman flatly, "I'm not real big on texts." If she forces the issue, then you just tell her that you'll "try" to be more communicative. And then you "try" just a little bit. But mostly you keep doing the same.

One thing to note is that responding quickly to some texts, while delaying responses to (or ignoring) others, is an easy way to throw in some push-pull dynamics.
