Why would you take a chick on a "date" without talking to her on the phone first?

I like calling and am comfortable talking to chicks I haven't met yet on the phone. And some chicks made it a point that they had to talk to the guy on the phone before hand. Others, however, were more comfortable just texting and would rather wait to talk to the guy when they meet up, face to face. To me, it really doesn't matter though, when I was heavy into online dating, I'd sometimes have three or four dates set up a week. I screened them enough through their profile and messages. It wasn't necessary to talk to ALL of them on the phone. I'll talk to them when we meet up for a drink.
