Test or Flake out?

I set up plans to go out with a girl this Friday, I did it in person at a coffee shop earlier this week. She seemed excited said yeah that would be great. Thing is, it's her birthday and nobody in her family was going to be around so I figured what the hell, I'll take her out that day. So all seemed well, she was really happy when I asked.

Tonight I get a text message and she says she is kind of depressed about her situation with nobody being around, and is "not sure" if she wants to do anything. Well I figured it's either two things. One it's a complete flake out, due to lowered IL for some reason or she's an attention *****. Two, I thought it might be some kind of test. She didn't say I can't go, she just said not sure. Does she want me to call and say, "look we are going out and that's it!" or something?

My initial thought was to call her back and say "look, I'm going out one way or the other, do you want to come or not?" If she says no, I was going to say, "alright then I guess I'll just go with somebody else, cya" which I damn well could as there is another girl I know would go out with me anyway.

So what say the DJ's? Flake out? Test? Should I respond or not?

It's not neccessarily a test...but it's not a flake-out either. don't let her sit at home and feel sorry for herself.
Lone_raider: Does she want me to call and say, "look we are going out and that's it!" Probably so.

That's just what I may do, she is the passive type, maybe she want's me to take charge and give some orders! lol.

LOL, I think you're right! So that's it, I'm getting her out tommorow and that's all there is to it! I'm tossing some C&F into the phone call, she won't be able to resist. I'm a fun guy, she'll forget her problems in about 10 minutes with me :D
