I have been dating this girl for 6 months. We are both 27. We are not official but do care for each other and talked everyday via text and saw each other once or twice a week usually. She is originally from Croatia and went back there for the summer for 6 weeks.
Now I do know that she will most likely hook up with whoever she wants there and just have fun in general. I'm in the mindset of don't ask don't tell. I would like something more with her but I know better than to push a relationship on her as that is the girls department to bring that up.
We texted about once a day the first week with a phone call
Second week she said she was going to text me pics of where she was going.
I didn't hear for two days. On third day I texted hope your having fun. We use whatsapp so it shows that it was read. No answer.
Fourth day I guess I got needy and said if you are not feeling this or want space, I would appreciate you letting me know.
She texted me back apologizing that her phone had been out of service at the place they were at and to let me know they were safe and she misses me.
Third week- She lets me know she has servic and talks about going away for the weekend with me.
She calls me the next day and about 10 mins in the convo, she gets annoyed at something I say which I meant nothing by. We end convo pleasantly but I still felt a negative vibe. I called her back and tried to figure out what was wrong and calm her down, Probably a needy move on my part.
She said she would text me over the next couple days. That was weds night. Now I clearly see that she logs into whatsapp everyday and didn't send me one text. No contact until Sunday night where I caved and texted her a friendly text. We talked like we normally would with ****y and funny banter teasing each other.
I know I shouldn't have texted her especially since she said she would text me. I also asked her to chat on phone to which she said she would call me tomorrow.
Am I coming off too needy? Ofcourse I fear that she may meet someone or already has met someone and fall in love. Maybe she is the out of sight out of mind type. After we speak tomorrow, I am going to throw the ball back in her court and tell her to text me when she wants and then go complete NC. She is coming back in three weeks.
