I disagree. Teachers are in a position of power. They shouldn't be allowed to abuse that power in order to have sex with their students. Obviously, that's not what happened in this case and I'm sure the teacher will be sentenced accordingly.

What if a student gave sex in exchange for good grades? What if the teacher forced a student to have sex so she wouldn't fail them?

Its the same dynamic as boss employee relationships. Is she sucking the bosse's d!ck for a promotion? Is the boss forcing her into sex so she keeps her job?

In order to have cases like those above and various other miscellaneous cases from happening, its easier to keep the school or work environment from banning sex between superior and inferior.

I'm probably going to get red arrowed for this but here it goes. First off, cheating on her husband while he's deployed is just a nasty act and worthy of complete contempt. This is not a crime however. The men she had sex with were all legal adults. That is not a crime. This Texas law criminalizing sex between adults is a bit riduculous. Is it also illegal to have sex with your boss? I would think the proper and fair punishment would be for her to be fired and her husband file for divorce and custody of the children. This is not worthy of her being incarcerated at tax payer expense.

BY FAR, the worst part of this situation is that she has a husband in the military defending our country overseas, (whatever your opinions about the military, anyone laying his life on the line for his country deserves the utmost respect.) who is probably pretty 'upset,' to say the least. Not only is his wife a worthless hor, but its blasted all over the WORLD. Poor guy.

All the same, this shouldnt be a bonafide CRIME. She should be fired, fined, divorced, whatever, but not criminal law. Its not against the law to cheat on your husband, and that is the worst crime here.
