Okay, this thread has definitely helped me address some issues I had with being too shy around other people and I really appreciate it. Since I became determined to be more outgoing and sociable, I've been involved in some study groups like every week, I've been hanging out with all my friends at lunch, and even got a date to prom a couple of weeks ago. However, my one weakness still seems to be talking to girls in a group. I'm fine with talking to a bunch of guys in a group or if I talk to a girl alone. There is this one girl in particular that I have trouble talking to in a big group. I'm really attracted to her and I went paddle boating with her a week ago and we had a one on one conversation for about 40 minutes during the boat ride. I got her to lauph a lot and I'm pretty sure she enjoyed herself. However, now that we're back in school everything seems different. I miss that feeling of just her being next to me and talking to each other one on one. She sits at my lunch table, but the conversations are nothing like what we had on the paddle boat and things seem more tense with all my friends and her friends sitting by us. What can I do to overcome this weakness?
