"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Alrighty, so around next week I'm taking a HB8 to the beach but we were "friends" for about a little over a semester during high school. Ironically, I suggested we go last week but she couldn't due to summer classes so she willingly postponed the beach date to another specific time (good sign!).

So anyways, I don't know her interest level towards me, but she's a real good sport when it comes to my c/f and kino and jokes and etc. Question is, when it comes to the date, how should I behave in order to get myself out of her friend's zone, assuming I'm already in it, and possibly land a kissclose?

I've heard several cases where the guy in the friend's zone should be really flirty, do a lot of kino and c&f, don't be her emotional tampon (which I've never done with HB8), and just be really relaxed in any situation. Honestly, I know I can do the kino c&f NOT be her emotional tampon and carry a good conversation(definitely gonna bringing up sex), but will those alone help me towards a kissclose?

I dont mean to overanalyze, but your feedbacks will help me greatly!!

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

To get a woman, you have to be able to live without her.

If you're in the friend zone, flirting and kino won't help you get out... at least not within a few minutes or hours. The friend zone is a rut, and it's tough to get out.

From the brief description of your situation, it's tough to tell where you're sitting. Take her out on the date and work your game as best as you can, unless you get the "LJBF" talk. If you get that, end the date and move on.

Oh I can live without her desdinova, but it'll be pretty nice to have her around in my reality ;)

Anyway, sorry for the lack of detail. I'll try to describe where I stand with her the best I can.

I didn't really hang around with her that much, only saw and talked to her in my psychology and art history classes, but only really talked to her towards the somewhat beginning to middle of the year. Whenever I DID talk to her, I usually made the best of it, such as cracking jokes on her, using kino, carrying some conversations, you know the dj basics ;)

I've seen her flirt with other dudes at times but I don't know where she stands with them. As for me, I think I'm at a pretty good level with her when it comes to the DJ stuff, though when it comes to the friends' zone, I think I may be in it ankle deep due to me not taking her out when I could've & should've.

I really can't tell what will happen, so I think I have nothing to lose when I say that I'm gonna' try to kiss close if I see that things are working out just fine between us during the date. C'mon, it's the beach and the waters, of COURSE there will be kino! If I see that she's not having that much fun or is really cold towards me, then the date's over, even if it's just a minute into it.

Let's just say that I had the exact same (almost identical  ) situation two weeks ago. Let's just say we didn't kiss close and now it seems like it won't go anywhere.

So whatever you do, make it count.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Ok, let's cut this back to fundamentals here:

What matters in this situation is what YOU want to happen. You can't predict what she wants, in fact THAT may change depending on the situation and how you act toward her. Noone can know if you're in the friend zone or if you can get out of it.

What we can say, is that if you pursue what YOU want, i.e. tease, kino escalate and go for a kiss close, you have done all you could. If she goes for it, great. If not, nothing lost - she won't hate you for trying (or freak out and call the cops :D ). In fact, she'll like it - chicks love guys who want them (even if they don't feel the same way). At that point your task would be to make sure you don't get oneitis and to move on.

So go for it - and let us know how it goes.
