****tail Attire

Now, I have to go to a party and wear my "best ****tail attire". I am guessing that means a suit.

Am I correct?

White shirt, dark slacks, dark jacket, red tie, good quality shoes.

No underwear.

I was thinking more along,

Dark Suit
Dark striped shirt
No tie

with underwear

It's easy to lose the tie. It's not so hard to make one appear out of thin air if everyone else is wearing one. But hey... suit yourself (pun intended).
