"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Ok I have been reading a lot here and some of you guys really seem to know your stuff. I was in Biarritz recently, and there were a lot of my rugby player friends with me when I was there. I wasnt exactly ashamed to take my top off and go for a swim in the sea, but I also wished I had the huge frame and defined abs, chests and arms that they had. I have always been skinny. There are smaller guys in my year but in terms of strength I would say I am in the bottom 10% of guys in my year.
I am 6-1 and around 150 pounds. And basically, I want to bulk up. I do not want to be a Ronnie Coleman style monster, just someone with a defined body like maybe that Abercrombie model Maxwell Zagorski ( though not in any other way like him). It is the summer now and I have some spare time, and I have membership to a good gym. So I was wondering if anyone with some spare time who knows their s**t be able to give me advice or maybe even a workout plan. Also I dont eat very healthily though not horribly. No matter what I eat I stay the same size, Last year I had a test done in the gym and it turns out my resting metabolism is 1800 calories and my body fat is 5.7%, so what should I be eating to overcome this. any advice is much appreciated. Cheers- Swerve

EDIT: Space it out a bit

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

These are the defaults that the knowledgeable members recommend everyone who wants to build muscle:

Routine - http://www.sosuave.net/forum/showthread.php?t=125444
Diet - http://www.sosuave.net/forum/showthread.php?t=134782

I'm skinny and doing Option A and following the diet. So far I've gained 9 pounds in just over a month and a half and love this program. Lots of other members are doing the same one as well.. I definitely recommend you do this, and make a journal here as well so the guys who know what they're talking about can offer advice, and it will keep you motivated as well. Good luck!

You have to GAIN SOME SIZE before being ripped shows anything.
At 150 and 6"1 you should be fairly slim now but you haven't got anything to show.
Gain some ****ing strength before wanting to be like a male model, jeez.

Yeap, follow what jahidi said, you need to be getting 3000+ calories with at least 250g protein per day.

Start eating that amount and see if you're gaining weight, if you are, it's all good.

Work hard and it'll pay off mate.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Yeah seriously if it's an Abercrombie or Zagorski physique you're emulating just don't eat and lift about 50% your body weight in all the compound lifts. And you better have a face that will sustain you through the hard winters.
