"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

whats up guys?

I've been seeing my first girlfriend ever for about 6 weeks now. we are really into each other, but the time has come for summer break at college.

we live maybe 300 miles from each other. we will be attending the same college this fall and after that.

anyway... how would you guys handle this? I don't really want to break up with her. some things to consider: we are both highly saught after by the opposite sex. breaking up means basically instant hookup with other people that we dont care about. you know, the relationship vultures that are just waiting for something to happen so that they may swoop down and hookup on the rebound.

what are some ground rules I could lay for the summer break? honestly, I am pretty nervous about the situation. Its never happened before, so I figured I would ask you guys for advice.

thx dudes

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Don't worry about it. Try your best to see her every week or every other week. Maybe you two can meet half way. Or maybe you can spend a few days together going somewhere cool, like a camping spot. Maximize the fun as much as possible. If she's going to cheat, she will.

Ground rules?! What is she 5??!!

You can make all the rules you want and have them as long as the declaration of independence. You been with her for 6 weeks and now you want her to sacrifice 4 months??!! That doesn't make much sense. In 4 months most relationships go to hell when couples are together!!! and yet you want it to go smoothley when you are away from each other?!! Why are you depriving yourself for 4 months??!! Its a long time and by the time you will come back you might not even know her.

Break up with her and go see other women and if she is still available coming fall hook up with her again.
