well, i was at myspace and was talking to this girl. I began the conversation by ****y+funny,

"I was looking through all these pics here on the internet thinking to myself
"Look at all the poor, desperate, lonely women..."
and then I saw your pic and thought to myself "Hey,
here's a poor, desperate, lonely woman that's actually
CUTE..." so I thought I'd write and see if you're
as interesting on the inside as you are in this picture...

she responded:

ya, we women are sex objects

is all hot babes like that, or is she testing. Should i apologize to her by saying "i'm really sorry and im actually a nice guy?" i might continue to bust on her, but im stuck. i've never met a arrogant woman like that?

That being said, I don't really see that as too "C&F". I mean, you just called someone you've never talked to before "poor, desperate, and lonely". I don't think she's "testing" you by saying she has other people that she's talking to - she probably just figured that you're a dumb*ss who isn't worth wasting time on a conversation with. At least, that's what I would have thought if I had been in her position... and if you took offense to that, perhaps you should evaluate how what you say is coming across. Send something interesting back, maybe take a second to read her profile and find something you can use that would show her you actually did something more than just stop off at her pictures page in the middle of your wanking session.

By the way, how far away does this chick live from you?

no diablo...if she was really put off by what he wrote she wouldn't have responded to him at all. She's challenging him to a battle of wits. That was an invitation to try to come up with a clever come back that will make her laugh. If he manages to answer properly it will hold her attention a bit longer. It's going to be tough for him though...

True enough, forgot how easy it was to just not respond at all. So, his foot is in the door - next step is up to him. Rookie, since this is the internet, bear in mind that you're just one of many guys vying for her favor and need to set yourself out from the herd...

It is a good thing. Diablo and Wyldfire are right. You have your foot in the door. This will be a game of one-ups-manship. You move, she counters. You have to go further then she did but not too far. If you go too far too fast you will either alienate her or leave yourself with nowhere to go. One-upping is the best.

You said you took pity on her and asked if she lived up to her picture.

She took the reference to the picture and spun it so all you think of her is as an object.

You should either take the word "object" or the idea that you have never had anyone object to you and spin them so it seems the conversation has always been about how she is so obviously desperate. You have to adapt it to your sense of humor and a style you can match.

The important thing is to not push it far, always turn it around and do not blink. I have found most women pretend to be offended after a few exchanges. As long as you have always left a sign of sarcasm in your responses she is not actually offended. You should feel wryness in her feinged shock as well. Turn that around and see it as a sign of how desperate and lonely she must be to be that prudish.

Do not apologize. If you want to hint you're a nice guy that's cool. Just make it a little back handed and she'll get the feel without losing the vibe.

If you really do become stuck pretend to be offended by the most trivial thing you can think of. It will buy you a little time and she might give you a new direction. You can learn to enjoy the feeling of being out of your depth.

"Well damn, girl...if you have to object then the guys you hang with must not know what they're doing. No wonder you're looking for lovin' online! ;-)"

This girl is very much like I am with the smart arse comments. Keep your responses short, funny and sarcastic...but not scathing and you should stand a chance.

But, are you sure that wasn't an AWAY MESSAGE?

It doesn't have hardly anything to do with what you were saying. It also gives an explanation of her being away (talking to a lot of other people). And that's all she said to you. And it just seems like the kind of stupid thing a girl would put in an away message, they usually put quotes and things like that in them.

That would be hilarious if we were all trying to analyze an automated response.
