Has anyone else here had a sudden dip in sex drive? Apparently this can be a sign of serious health problems. But I'm wondering if it's just environment.

I'm 30 and have always had a normal sex drive. Until this summer, I was living south of the equator, in a country with no COVID problem (so no closures), with young and gorgeous women walking around every time I stepped outside.

I flew back to US, and with the COVID restrictions I've just stayed with my parents. I've been here a few months and have physically seen exactly two girls (when I say "see", I literally mean see with my eyes; I didn't come within 10 meters of them).

A few weeks after getting back, my sex drive suddenly dropped. Instead of 2-3 times a week, I can whack off maybe 1-2 times. I try watching porn but sometimes get bored/uninterested and stop; this is very unusual for me.

I remember one of the girls I saw was at the poll's on election day. It was like my brain fired up and screamed "fertile female" and I felt different. Anyways, I'm checking here to see if any other guys have had a similar drop in sex drive due to isolation during COVID? Maybe if I go back to a normal environment with girls around, I'll jump back to normal. Or should I be alarmed at my change?

Some say that smelling woman can boost your testosterone levels, maybe if you ain't seeing a lot of girls and are living in an unhealthy way, that can affect you.

Recently i had the same "problem" and i'm much younger. But i approach this "problem" with a great smile, because sometimes i'm very focused on woman and sex, and that kinda drags me down, so when i do not feel horny all the time and don't think about woman, i focus on my job and hobbies a lot better, so, that's a pro for me.

If you're having these issues, but you have a healthy lifestyle, you lift weights, you exercise your brain regularly and you see no loss of performance in neither one of these areas, i personally would not think that this is a problem, i would think about this as a time of peace.

Whenever i get this state of mind, it usually lasts days, maybe weeks sometimes. I'm sure yours will eventually fade and everything will go back to normal, and you may come out of this situation even more horny.

Being around your parents and not your own life will put your flame out sexually. So your sex drive will die and you probably won't be as mentally sharp either. Who we are around frames our identity. So its not like your parents will feed a big d1ck sex hound image.

Hmm it's plausible, though it makes me wonder why I was constantly horny in high school while living with my parents.

I haven't lived at home since I was 18, but have visited for as long as a month sometimes and never had anything similar to this.

This is proven. Scientific studies by researchers like Martie Haselton, David Buss, and Robin Baker.

Summary: when a woman is ovulating, guys think she smells sexier and it raises their testosterone levels.

Have ever been fully grown had a full career and you were forced back into your mother's home after being out 10+ yrs? They can't support your image unless they were there the entire time.

How has your sleep and diet been?
Sleep, exercise, and diet have been on point for months. I'm in good shape and no stress problems.

I suspect that once COVID quiets down and I move back to a city job with a regular social life, my body will go back to normal. But I don't understand why other guys aren't having the same issues now.

This happens to me sometimes. It does decline naturally with age for most people, but that usually doesn't explain a very, very sudden decline. In my own circumstances, about the only thing that has suddenly been responsible for a reduction in drive has been certain medications or a bout of depression. Sometimes you can get depressed without even realizing it. As for medications, I have noticed that if I am put on prescription pain meds - opioids - after a surgery (like a wisdom tooth extraction or knee surgery etc), those make my drive non-existent.

And I do agree with the theory that being away from attractive women will make your drive go down.

Get some more intense workouts in. Take your supplements too on top of the diet. Winter is literally around the corner so sh!t like vitamin d becomes vital, especially now more so than ever. Reach out to your old social circles and maintain that contact routinely until the current situation you are in improves. Keep busy mentally too. Truth be told, I am in a very similar situation, except I moved from UK where COVID was off the charts and sunlight did not exist, back to the US.

Good point on Vitamin D. Most have low-levels which put them at risk. I take 5,000 IU of D3 per day, but one should only do that if having your blood-levels tested by a doctor at least every 6 months.

I am no medical expert. But my drive can lower in two ways generally here at age 34:

1. Masturbating too much. While I don't buy into the "No Fap" that some around here preach religiously, if I am doing that too much instead of actually having sex I find my overall drive can go down.

2. Stress. This can be from work, relationships, etc. It happens to everyone no matter their age. If your mind is on other things that are taking up your immediate attention other than banging chicks you naturally aren't going to be in the mood. It's just part of life. Ever try to have sex when you are in the middle of some very high-stress situation? It's very difficult because you aren't relaxed.

Also, excellent point on the depression bouts as well. I myself was pretty ticked off and feeling down the entirety of last week. There was absolutely no desire for women or horniness. I'm 33 next month, back at home now just like the OP and fresh off almost a decade of active duty. I was awaiting admission results to some medical colleges that didn't come through as I was told---but will sooner or later, I had to utilize my health insurance on my very last day of having it, was just pissed at the entire COVID situation fuccing up my final leave period. Can't travel, can't really drink in bars while living with high-risk individuals. It has watered down a lot of sh!t for all of us OP to include our moods and testosterone.

With Vitamin D3, yeah, get blood-levels tested by a doc. Really. When your levels dip down, your T-levels are at risk of dropping low and staying put. Back in 2017, I wound up passing kidney stones (5 over 4-5 months) as a result of taking 2,000 IU a day for months at time on and off over the course of 9 years. Forward to 2018, I arrive in England and my therapist requested a Vitamin D blood-test (my first ever) as we suspected my levels were too low with my moods being way off and having avoided doses at 2,000 or higher in fear of passing more stones. Yep, my level was 20.9 in summertime. I re-tested late 2018 and it was up to 31 or 32 I believe, can't recall but just sufficient. Currently I started taking 5,000 IU a day and Vitamin K for the winter so the levels go up and the calcification in my kidneys doesn't become as profound like before. Hoping to keep that up for 4 months before dropping down to 1,000-2,000 daily.

We're the same age. No such experience.

If anything, i got more energy and vigor. I am not reeming sluts from the club or bar. I have not been since the first quarter. I literally slung d all night.

If it persists go have a physical. Aaron Clarey had a big C scare. Fortunately, he's ok. Its probably nothing but fellas rarely ever get checked. Zyzz rip had a undiagnosed heart problem. Also heavy partying.

In lockdowns 2.0, i walk my dog. I walk trails. I have a good time in a variety of areas with girls. The pipeline is a bit different from the past. Lots of day trips and day game. #wohoooooo I advise exercise outdoors. Skip or burpees. Do calisthenics. Minimum 8 hrs of sleep. Try meditation for a week. 7days straight. Every morning and night before bed. 20min per day minimum. Report back after. I highly appreciate it and its more me time. The lack of pair bonding and social interaction likely is getting a bit much. Are you dating? I have had girls dropping in and out of rotation but several regulars since pre covid first quarter.

I watched a coach red pill vid recently. Itbwas money. I climb a mount everest. I got to the top. The question is now what? Where is the next everest?

Your likely in a similar predicament.

I cut out porn ages ago. Means I have to pull to smash. I still fap and i enjoy blowing on a girls face lulz I kust don't watch porn. I think it lowers t and is mind rot. Its porn. Not sex in the way you **** nor are many of the positions or angles enjoyable. Work can be a kicker for Op. The lack of a social circle ir even a pandemic fling is not a good time.

Agree with you on the porn. I very rarely watch it these days. It doesn't bring the same level of enjoyment that it once did ~15 years ago when I was far less experienced. Now if I do it its almost more out of sheer boredom.
