Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

Hi, here's something that happened to me:

Two weeks ago I met this girl on the net. After some talking we found out that we had a lot in common and wanted to get to know eachother better. We really talked a lot about stuff we both liked and we decided to meet. For the days to come she kept talking about how curious she was and that she wanted to meet me asap. I was curious too, I really liked her in a way, so we met up yesterday.
After some strolling we ended up in her room where she was obviously craving for a kiss. So I kissed her and she was like: weee, I'm gonna send you a Valentine's Card and stuff like: I want to meet you again soon bla bla bla. After dinner she said she wanted to come to my place next Friday. I really liked this girl so I thought why not. I said I was looking forward to it.

I took the train back home and I got this annoying message, which for the dj leaves little to imagination: 'I got to talk to you'
On the net later that night she told me we were moving way too fast, and she thought I was deeply in love with her. Well, I wasn't, but my remark about looking forward to the next date apparently made her shiver. She wants to 'slow down'. She said she still wants to see me and get to know me better and stuff, but she doesn't want me to be her boyfriend for the moment.

I know things happened fast and I am not in love with this girl (although I really like her), but I have little clues what to do next. Is 'slowing down' ******** for 'no way'? Should I stop seeing and chatting when she's acting more distant from now on? What are the signs to run away from girls like this? :/

I hope someone could tell me more.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Beware of this one Dawg, sounds like a drama queen.

She talks about sending a Valentines card, and you just say you look forward to her visit next Friday?

Yes she says that's moving way too fast, but sending a Valentine's card isn't?

She doesn't want you to be her boyfriend at the moment? Who said anything about this?

I think she likes you but may be seeing someone else. She want's to keep you in the loop, but keeping you at a distance she can 'have fun' with other guys.

Thanks for replying... you're probably right.
If she's being a drama queen on day 1, I dunno where this will lead eventually... probably to a very, very unpleasant point in my life :/
Anyway, I sort of agreed to meet her again in the future, don't know when. I need time to think this cr@p over.

If she wants to slow down, then SLOOOOOOW down. Take it to the point of being cold with her. This is always a good test of interest.

She definitely sounds like a drama queen and is best taken very casually. I wouldn't advise investing much time or hope in this one.

Hey,

'Slow down' means I am checking out other guys and am thinking about dumping your @ss.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

sudden change in attitude is just finding a way to get into an argument with you, giving her an excuse to see other guys

Well I recall an article on this site saying one should walk away from this kind of girls - if she's really interested she'll drop me a line.
You guys could be right on the whole 'I wanna see other guys'-thing, since last week she said something about one or two guys who wanted to be her 'back up dates' or whatever. I thought she said that to make me jealous.
Either way, I'm not replying to her messages now and I don't want to talk to her at the moment- I got to find me a decent girl this time... As a wise man once put it: 'A man should only love a woman who loves him first and a lot'!

You: "I said I was looking forward to it."

Dude, you came on too fast just like so many guys out there. That's anti-challenge.
