"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Has anybody, looked back at how they used to be and suddenly realise they have made huge progress?

I think it's easy to not notice because it's all the little things that you do, day in day out, change in attitude, dress getting your body in shape etc.

I was a bit shocked when I read one of my first posts, a typical whiney AFC post. People were kind enough to offer up good advice and encouragement, even one from PRL:D .

I guess there is hope after all. If I can make progress anyone can. I've still a long way to go, but forgot how far I've come.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Compounding is absolutely incredible. Improving yourself just a little bit on a consistent basis is much more useful than making infrequent large changes.

Most people think that a single moment of insight will change their life forever. That is good to get you started/motivated, but it is the commitment to consistently progress that really has the most impact on your life.

Perhaps this would be a good time to review a certain thread by a poster named Pook.

Looking back I can see I have made progress. Two years ago I weighed about 230. Now I weigh in the mornings and I'm at 196. That plus a change of attitude has really turned me around. Going to see my woman tonight. :woo:

Yeah, I've definitely made progress and I think this is a good thread to realize that. I'm not saying you are, but make sure not to get caught up on self improvement...if you aren't getting any more action than you were before, you have work to do.

That's a good point and I think I've been guilty of that too. getting so wrapped up in 'learning' which is a sneaky way of putting off doing.

It's really good to review cold, hard facts.

How many new girls have you spoken to.

How many dates.

2nd base etc, etc.

You know your on track when the phone keeps ringing and you're annoyed that yet another hottie is pestering you.

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

True, true...like I said its a balance. I mean, I could look at myself and say my style has gotten so much better, my confidence is better, my finances are better...those are all improvements, too. So, I think you have to look at how you have improved and pat yourself on the back for that, then look at how much action you're getting from the ladies and see what you need to work on.

oh, no, you almost got me going there.

call me old-fashioned but I aint gonna cheat on me girl.. I DO talk to new girls, but not much new stuff to learn with talk only. I got my mind pretty wrapped up on the relationship as such.

now call me an idiot, but that's the reason I started with SS - to get those girls I thought were worthy of my attention - not to fvck as many as I wanted.

although it is nice to know that you have at least 70% more chance of getting an XYZ then before. but I must admit, my progress has stagnated since going steady. the good thing is that at least my sexual abilities are improving :D :D

we never stop learning!

Interesting post - I was thinking about this today. When I first found this site and others like this - I was barely able to do one approach. I think for the first month - I did like one approach.

Now, I'm at a place where I am getting 1 or 2 #s everyday, and several day 2s a week, not enough f-closes, but I'm getting there. That was a lot of progress. Since I was so anxious, and almost certainly had social anxiety disorder, this is a hell of a lot of progress.

Alpine, I think about this everyday. I thank God that He put me into these challenges in life otherwise I wouldn't have realized how blessed I am.

Thats great bro! You should be making some progress from reading some of the information on this site. You know, that was one of my biggest concerns a while back, because Alpine, I was making some progresses as well, but when I came back here to share some of my "theories" as some guys called it, I really got upset when these same guys who had HELPED me progress, now all of a sudden were all putting me down? And I am not going to front to you either, that shyt bothered me. Why? Because I thought that this place was more toward brotherhood, so me being a total AFC, finally getting some kind of success and joy out of life after being picked on, beat up all the time growing up, I just thought that some guys would be happy for me to even come up with a theory. But, what happened, they all hated me. I still to this day, dont understand why. I never said I was a guru or anything, just a guy with a problem who needed help, got some help, hell...STILL needs help in some areas, but I am getting better. What is wrong with that? It kind of reminded me back to the days when everybody fvcked with me a lot, and it was like, okay...if it is one guy, I can deal with him, but when everybody is doing it, I cannot fight the world. I did not expect that to happen on this site, but it did. I cannot understand why, but....I dont know..But hey, congratulations on the improvement!

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Pvssy,

I too am a bit suprised by the response you got from jpr just in this thread. There's nothing imflamatory in your post, what have you been saying to wind people up in other threads?

I don't know sometimes I get all excited about something I've discovered myself or read somewhere and get a cool reception when i want to share it. I think you have to accept that whatever you want to say, how it's taken is how it comes across to the other person.

So maybe you come across as a no it all or above others. I don't know but it can also be people who are jealous of those who are progressing when they are not.

Maybe you are over sensitive to rejection, especially if you have had this in your past. Perhaps everyone gets this, it's just you obviously focus on it when you get it yourself?

Above all, don't let it get to you and get angry, that will make it worse for you, just try to stand back and figure out what's going on objectively.
