"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

There was a thread similar to this on these boards once upon a time but I searched it and can't find it, if a moderator can locate it then obviously feel free to merge the threads.

Anyway, it's a bit more light hearted than a lot of the stuff on here and always provides a good laugh when you think back to some of the stupidist things you did and some of the obvious chances for a **** that you somehow missed.

Here's a couple for me:

1. Went to get a few drinks at a bar, and two girls behind the bar were pulling the pints, one being a HB8 and the other about 6, anyway, I'd ordered 4 pints and they were pulling one pint each. So I made some comment about how good the service was, having two people puilling me drinks at once. HB8 then says "what else could you want, maybe a little bit better head?" she then starts laughing. The thing is, I'm not that stupid to not realise the obvious come on but I'd not been on this board for that long and there was nothing I could think of to say, needless I got home that night with that familiar feeling of being incredibly annoyed!

2.Girl from work, she'd been making comments at me for ages, I knew she liked me but hadn't found a decent time to meet up. This isn't an excuse, I genuinely couldn't find time to see her outside of work, she'd only been there for just over a week and I'd spent 5 days of that away. So anyway, I get back from my holiday and we catch the bus home, all the way home she's saying how she'd like to go out that night, eventually she got so frustrated she says "do you want to meet up later this evening and do something", I was busy that night and just couldn't do it, and forgot to get the number so she took it as no interest and ****ed a different guy from work!

There's more than that as well, a lot more but those two probably make the funniest reading.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

When i droped out of Ninja school for 2 months.

When i let a Read Lion Ninja get past me on my watch because i was busy having sex with a HB10. The ninja ended up killing my Master and burning down my DOJO.

When i infiltrated the Iraqui army and was caught and had to fight my way out killing 62 Iraquis. I lost 2 of my fellow Ninjas.

Thats is all i have for now.
