Beyond that, O'd recommed getting a sense of what the strippers want (within bounds of "gray area" legality, of course), and scale that down to reality. Getting good "talent" would be a definite plus.

on lap dances, club gets about 25% of the cut. A 300 dollar hour lap dance the club is going to make about 100 bucks.
As far as buying a club, it's just like any business, I need to see financial statements. A good, very good valuation of a business or how much it will cost to buy is to take what they avg on a year income wise and mulitply by 2. usually you are looking close to or over 7 figures.
you are better off starting one if you can. But if you can buy an established one that is somewhat run down and turn it around that's great too. This is something I have long concerned but I have other things going on that are more important that to be around drug addict tramps all day. But it's a cashed based business... nothing wrong with that. and I still might one day
