I dont really like these things mentioned.Soluble fibre is seriously good stuff apart from keeping your guts in good working order it can also lower cholesterol. Pearl barley, oats and chickpeas will also lower cholesterol given your animal protein intake I suggest you add them to your diet. This is what people don't realize if you add enough of the right good stuff you can get away with eating a lot more of the fun stuff. If you have a high animal food intake I would also suggests that you get on pomegranate juice and red cabbage because it protects from fatty liver.
