You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?
Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.
One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.
Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.
You've been "getting ready" for two years.
She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.
Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
This is absolutely NOT true. Even when I was scrawny, I still scored chicks with my poetry. But it wasn't my poetry, it was my imagination that reeled them in. Musicians also get laid.CHICKS GET OFF ON POWER. WHY DO YOU THINK THEY GO FOR THE JOCKS AND THE DUDES WITH THE DEFINED PECS AND SIXPACKS, AND NOT SOME FLABBY, TERRIBLE-POETRY-SPOUTING LOSER LIKE YOU? POWER, BABY.
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
Hey Diesel! I'm not saying you, or anyone, should feel guilty about how you view women. Men and women agree on one thing: they both distrust women. But I can't really feel guilty for wanting to bone a lot of girls, I don't think my views on women reflect badly on me at all. I'm just honest with myself and with the caliber of woman that is out there. If I were to meet a women that inspired me on all levels, then yeah, I'd probably change my toon. However, I can't say that I am holding my breath for that day, and in the meantime, I sure as hell will not continue to live like a monk, while pursuing some Quijote-an quest for the perfect woman. I take what is presented to me in the course of my life.
I think after a while, Nature says, "This will not do. Therefore, I will place internal pressue in you to desire the LTR, to marry, to have kids." In time, the Savage Bull doth bare the yoke.I have a bit of a romantic notion that one day I will meet a girl that will knock my socks off... but so far that hasn't happened yet.
No, they DO get off on power. But they get off on other things then that too. How can that jobless starving artist be with that hottie? He is dreamy.2. However, your point on the imagination... you say that chicks don't get off on the power. Here I will continue to disagree.
I'll do a post on this.Isn't your premise of the control over the imagination but another manifestation of power? If you can control and capture a girl's imagination, it sounds like just another form of power a man can wield over a woman.
Heh, who said women judged men rationally?3. About the women wanting the best life they can get and choosing the guy who can best give it to them. ....
This is definitely not true. Women make incredibly stupid choices when choosing whom they marry, for what seem to be an infinite number of reasons that defy explanation (since each situation is unique).. This, to me, accounts for the incredibly high divorce rate in this country.
Excessive expectations. If what you say is true, then how come people divorce so much?
they moved it to OTHEROriginally posted by Big-J
The N@zi Mods over there went and deleted your post again.
You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
OK my mistake on the N@zi mods deleting it.Originally posted by Diamond Detective
There are also some good DJ posters over there. Deepdish, Jake Steed, DWK, Dave_710, Dr. Claw, Dr. Metal, and a few others.
I think for the most part these guys give some good advice on behalf of the DJ's. Ive noticed that some will even refer guys over here when they are clearly AFC's beyond repair (Dave does this and occasional others).
Yes, it is AFC land, but we do have some great reps over there who do hold up their end of the battle.
I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.
The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.
Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.
I laugh every time someone blames women for their lack of romantic success. Most people are oblivious to the fact that however little sense can be made of womens actions, everything they do has PURPOSE and REASON.Women are emotional not because they are stupid but because they play Nature's role.
I disagree. Survival is of utmost importance to any human, hence any quality in a man that shows ability to assure survival will be held in the highest regard. With death nothing else matters.Women are more attracted to imagination than to power. They are only attracted to power in a survival way. They may marry the politician but will sleep with the artist down the road.
Yes. It is utterly disgusting. My boy got dragged to that "Maid in Manhattan" crap by his wife.Has anyone noticed how many of these horrid romantic "comedies" are in release today?
I take it for granted that you don't mean the ENTIRE Europe right?Originally posted by Babaganoosh
Sadly, I also agree with most of it. North America has for the most part become a feminized society where the men have been taught to become touchy-feely and sensitive, and forget the true nature of a man. If you go to a European country and see how macho all the men are, you'll understand. And from personal experience, 99% of the women I've met had nowhere near the creativity, intelligence and/or sense of humor of my male friends. Good eye-opening post.
Ohh and Diesel, I would love to repost it again, you know to give the guys over there a second chance. But this time I'd like to edit some of the bad words...you know cursing really discredit your credibility.Originally posted by Don-Wan Kenobi
DIESEL,
I did not get a chance to read your post at girlproblems before it was removed from discussion. I commend you for attempting to introduce your macho and empowering rap to our clueless and broken hearted neighbors at girlproblems.
When I began posting on that other board, it was out of empathy. I could understand the frustration of many of the male posters who had no idea where they stood in relationships. I wanted to help them gather their emotions and take control over their lives and their relationships. The contributions of fellow DJs and their spectacular brand of tough love are what kept me a frequent visitor. DIESEL, it's great to see you joining the ranks of Dish, Blitz, Steed and other major contributors.
That being said, I am saddened to discover that your post has been removed from discussion. The moderators have not commented on the status of your post and so I hesitate to point the finger at them. In fact, I am sending in a squadron of inspectors to allow me to determine the exact cause of and individuals responsible for the exclusion of DIESEL's contribution to the forum. Before I engage the girlproblem mods and declare their incompetence, I'll give peace a chance and allow them more time to divulge any and all black bull post they may be hiding and to once again, allow them to be scrutinized, praised, and condemed in proper discussion board fashion.
I have a few things to say about the post itself...
You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.
Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.
She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.
Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.
