Attraction runs on a clock.
She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.
The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."
One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.
Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

You have a point. There's an undercurrent here and in the pickup community that to get a woman, you have to be practically the perfect man (a top ten percenter), have super tight game, and that any little mistake can get you rejected. If that's not putting women on a pedestal, I don't know what is.HariPoter13 said:He unplugged from the matrix. The matrix is this website. And this whole mindset.

Meanwhile, out in the real world, supposed AFCs get women all the time. Maybe they're not banging three different girls a week, but they're happy (many of them, anyway). Until they lose their girl, then wash, rinse, repeat.
When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.
Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.
Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.
The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.
What's interesting is that I do agree with you, or rather, I used to believe what you are saying is true, then saw through it, but somehow my experiences in the last year or so point towards it being true. Now, my game might not be super tight, but I believe I've gotten rid of the worst habits.zekko said:You have a point. That's a good quote.remotecontrol said:look there is truth in every point of view...
Maybe you had more time to spend on them then. Earning a living takes up time and energy.remotecontrol said:I had more success with women when i was flat broke...than i have these days...but i tried harder and was hitting on women every day..now its just every other weekend.....
The simple fact is most relationships fail. If you can accept that fact and not let it hurt your self esteem when women do their changing routine, you're pretty far ahead of the game. Keep thinking you're the prize.remotecontrol said:The AFC's do get women..but they allow women to manipulate them and quite often destroy a guys self esteem
As a man who is fond of LTRs, I can't disagree with that. There's a certain conceit in having a woman wrap her world around you, long term.remotecontrol said:in my view almost all long term sexual relationships are really based on, ego
More of them, easier to spot, easier to get, and usually are at least somewhat attractive.remotecontrol said:ill settle for the short term skanks. there are way more of them anyhow.

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.
You've been "getting ready" for two years.
She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.
Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
i've been out the country, i just got back this morning. i do have a life outside of this site lol.zekko said:Looks like Backbreaker's off on one of his sabbaticals again also.
Exactly... Not long before he "left", he spoke to me about a certain detail of his life. He asked me to keep it to myself so I will, but I could imagine he decided to kill himself over this detail he spoke ofbackbreaker said:he was on some other **** by the time he last left. he did not leave on a good note. not talking about i haven't had a date good note, like, fvck women fvck the world type note.

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?
She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."
She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.
I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.
Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
Sometimes you just have to step away from all this and live life.zekko said:You have a point. I used to know what I was waiting for. Now...I just don't have any idea any more. Death?
To die would be a great adventure.
Death is the only adventure you have left.
I've lost all faith in mankind, and I've lost all faith in myself.

It's quotes like these that really terrify me. Being 25 and having had some of these thoughts nuzzle their way into my head I can understand the post. These types of problems don't seem to pop up with the women that I know. This kind of self-defeatist attitude, for the most part, seems to stem only from a male brain. Suicide numbers are completely one-sided. Is it because men are logical and analytic and seek to understand things that cannot be understood? Who knows. All I know is that women live in a fantasy world where everything is bought for them and no real work is required. And what are they supposed to do when things don't go their way? Pout about it until it does. Or find another man who will put up with her sh!t and probably has more money. It's hard to read posts like squirrels and stay level headed, but I guess that is the challenge for us as men. Not sure about you guys, but that alone is an adventure. Some times I wish I wasn't capable of feeling such pain; but in the end I think it's what makes us human. I'm looking forward to the challenging future. After all (being an analytic), I'm not so sure I would feel any sense of accomplishment if things were just handed to me...DMSR76 said:Originally Posted by Squirrels

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.
Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.
The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
