"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Things come in spurts. Spurtability.

This week I've been floating on a cloud. I smile as I walk down the street, I glow when I talk to my friends. It comes from a simple effort to breathe and be happy. It isn't hard, it just takes consistency.

Tonight I saw a girl I met in an airport. We had a great time, then made out in a bar. Then made out in her dorm. I told her I wanted to see her tomorrow. I didn't worry about being clingy like I normally would, I just wanted her, and knew she wanted me. I think I'll see her tomorrow despite her 20 page paper due.

Afterward there were some girls that were all over me. I learned tonight what it feels like to be a celebrity. Every mistake is smoothed over, every smooth move is golden. I met a guy and was invited to a party he was throwing on that social proof alone.

I guess I'm bragging. But why not?

I'm floating on a cloud.

You think you can't, that you aren't there yet. But why not?

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Be confident enough to keep the spurt going. I've been on a cloud for like 3 months, and i don't plan on coming down. It has become a part of me.
Congrats josh.
