"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

So heres my weekend. Woman I know (HB8), out of the blue calls me up on Friday and asks me if I wanna go out that night. Background info. We are friends, but I haven't really spoken to her in weeks/month. We don't exactly see each other very often, but still... we're friends. So that kinda shocked me that she called cuz it was totally out of the blue. Anyway, it wasn't just the 2 of us. More of her friends going and a guy friend of hers. So its this mix of people most of which I don't even know, but I wing it and go and see where this is headed.

Nothing of consequence happened that night. I thought, because she had called ME and asked ME out that she might have something up her sleeve and maybe flirt with me ,...but nothing. In fact her guy friend (not a bf) kinda c*$k blocked me. I could tell he was invited and was perhaps thinking the same thing as me. Anyway a whole lot of nothing happens and frankly I didn't even have that much fun.

The next day I get a text ..blah blah..back and forth a couple times and at the end she says "we have to do it again soon". Do what? Frankly it was a boring night and I got nothing from it.

Not sure what she wanted to accomplish on this night or why I was invited literally the day of going out. Wasn't asked a week ahead of time or even a day. I was asked that day. I know by not having prior plans and going I probably showed some weakness but I kinda had to go just to see what this was all about. Not sure if she's interested cuz she sure didn't seem so that night. We barely spoke. Also unsure as to what role this guy friend plays in all of it.

Confused

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

If you didn't have fun on the outing then you shouldn't really be worrying why she called you. What you SHOULD be doing is a whole lot of forgetting her ass and not answering your phone when you see her number.

IS she trying to string me along. Did she want me and this other guy to make a move. Playing games>

who cares!!!

I hope you answered back with; "sure, maybe next time we can actually do something"

trying to read in between lines, and trying to disyfer (Sp?) what people are trying to do is a waste of time.....if people have an agenda IT'S ALWAYS OBVIOUS.....it radiates from them....

Yep - Who cares. You were bored and if she were bored she'd drop you without a second thought.

I'd suggest unless you have better plans forgetting about her. Until you get better plans you could keep her as a going out backup option - she might have some worthy friends with some excitement to offer eh.....

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Yeah I'd like to keep her on the backburner...could possibly turn into something with a little pursuit. I'm not too concerned with her. Just wanted to know how these women have a blast and a guy can have a shi**y time..and yet they are both at the same place at the same time. Who we kidding? Unless she is also trying to string me along too.

I assume she is somewhat interested ..if not i wouldn't even have gotten a follow up response afterwards.. and a positive response at that
