From what I've seen, Ross Jeffries appears to be a charlatan who thrives on the hopes and fears of romantically incompetent guys. Like all the "gurus of love", he has sought to make a science out of what only ever was an art. It's probably just a marketing ploy to pull in poor inept suckers who, in bygone ages, would have been the prey of conmen making outrageous claims for "miracle powders" or "electric belts" capable of healing all known diseases.
