Speaker System for the Car

I have no clue why, but I've had this urge to get some sub woofers for the car.

What are your guys thoughts about this?

and if your familiar with it what are some good inexpensive sets I can get?

Get them large enough so when you crank up the bass the car rattles and sounds like it's made of cheap garbage loosely bolted together.

I personally think its a waste of money. I dont know any men who have large speakers or play loud music from their car for that matter. Only teenage boys and wannabe gangsters. Plus its just another thing that people love to steal. My buddy got his window busted in and his subs stolen even though he had tinted windows, always covered them with a blanket and didnt use them around his neighborhood.

I cant help but roll my eyes when I see some hoodrat driving on 22s, blasting his music so everyone within 3 blocks can see how tight he is.

But if you think its a good investment and something you will enjoy into your mid and late twenties then go for it.

There's a difference between appreciating quality audio and being obnoxious. A good system can thump, but only if you're blaring rap music with the bass cranked. A ghetto system won't do much besides produce loud bass that gives you trunk farts.

Nah, I disagree with most here said about ghetto bus. Making your car shake is a nice thing. You don't have to be a gangster to have loud bass, you just have to like rap music. Frankly I'm a gangster, true gangsters don't flash around in bling and loud music, no need to attract attention when you going on a job. Having your music stolen is a matter of who you know, for example nobody is going to steal from me.

I doubt stealing bass is profitable. A cheap system will run you $100, that's just not worth it. So unless you have some big ass woofers in your turnk you should be fine.
