Man, this topic is getting a little old. I was just wondering if anyone can find the actual artical titled "School of Height?" A bunch of sites use it as their only source, but never site the information. I tried searching the net along with several medical journals but came up with nothing.

I'm trying to find it to finally establish some sort of credible evidence for/against adolescent weightlifting. So far I can't find a single credible source to support/discredit young lifting. Any help would be nice.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

There isn't any.

Adolescent weight lifting is perfectly safe. I wrote a detailed post on this ages ago.

So you're saying the "school of height" book was never published or was completely made up?

I'm not saying that weightlifting isn's safe by any means, however this "book" is supposed to have conducted an extensive study across a large population of weightlifters vs non-weightlifters. Their results according to a bunch of sites (google---soviet+ "school of height") claim that weightlifting promotes growth. Yet at the same time I read somewhere a quote by a doctor who said something along the lines of research suggesting that weightlifting stunts growth through premature closure of plates.

Obviously, this leaves me a bit confused. Just trying to dig up ANY credible information via actual studies done on the matter. I tried searching Medscape, but either I'm stupid or there aren't any articles on the subject. Hope someone else has better luck.

Where did I ever say anything like that? I've never even heard of it.

If you're unwilling to search these forums yourself, why should we be expected to do it for you?

Here is my post from months ago. It's not hard to find.
