"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Spend more time thinking about how beautiful she is and noticing details in her expression and demeanor that turn you on. Watch body language. Quit trying to think of clever things to say because it will appear that you are trying too hard. Saying out loud how beautiful she is, is for the socially unknowledgeable; women rely on nonverbal cues as indicators of truth (unless she is drunk); projecting the thought with your body language is what will work. Women will try to avoid meeting you in person, because if you can arouse her, she will become as powerless over her sexual desire as men; she has been taught to remain vigilant so that she isn't outed as a slut. The body language expressing your interest is what a women (and men) would call "connecting", but there are ways of having some level of control over the "connection". First thing you have to understand is what Is happening when a women connects. What happens is hormones are released into her body and she experiences emotions, it isn't some universal entity which controls our lives (destiny is what many women are taught by the media to believe in), it is evolution. Women claim that they don't like being dominated, that men are patriarchal, and that men dominate too much of the world. If A man can dominate her in the bedroom, and a man can take care of her, if a man can make her feel like he is her soul mate, that man is gonna get laid. Yet a man shoudn't express aggressiveness in situations that don't call for aggression because then it will appear that he is peacocking showing a weakness of character. A man realizes there are parts of himself that are out of his control, his thoughts and impulses that run contrary to his goals and ambitions. These 'subconscious' thoughts generate fear and anxiety, and although they are internal, they must be treated as enemies. You have to be the hero of your own mind, you have to stand up to the other part of yourself that you are not in control of, you are the decider of your destination.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
