I had to re-read that statement a few times until it sunk in. Those are some good words. If I read that correctly, what you're saying is that men should not approach if they'll be worried about what she "thinks" about them? Or that you shouldn't approach if you'll feel self-conscious about it afterwards?
If that's the case, there's some truism to this BUT I feel there's a big flaw in this logic. It assumes that the interaction is going to fail.
Truth of the matter is whether you're feeling self-conscious or not, you should approach and talk to her anyways. How else do you plan on getting more and more comfortable talking with beautiful women?

also if they ask for your FB page just say that you don't have one.
i've found that some girls just wanna collect more "Facebook proof" .....more orbiters commenting on their pics , page etc...

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

meh keep facebook for friends only and if its a girl and she really did find you over the face book and bug you for it accept but don't make her updates show on your feed, way things are today since she will use you for social proof, you can do that too, just never comment her things.
if you don't have one is even better. but since a lot of people have and sometimes its important you be in touch with certain people for business and friends you are kinda forced to have.
