Sucks for them on getting themselves fired. People have a right to say what they want, and employers have a right to protect their image and not want to employ loud mouth idiots.

Saying stupid crap in social media is no different then going to a public function and acting like an ass. Both would reflect poorly on an employer depending on what field of business they are in.

And given how many businesses have public relations departments and/or an image to protect, more people should know better than to say certain things on the internet (because the internet is usually forever). One screen capture, and your fvked.

You don't have to be a racist to get fired. I know several people who have been fired for stuff they have on Facebook. People should be very aware of the dangers that exist. Even something so simple as posting up where you work, and now anything and everything on your page suddenly becomes representative of that company. And if you have enemies (or even people who don't much like you) who will pass that information on to department heads? I've seen that happen too.

You'll only get fired if you offend your employer and/or their targeted market audience, or someone indirectly related to their money source. That's just common sense, race or not.
