Social Experiment: acting AFC w/ 1 plate

Well I've been fumbling tryin to get this 1 plate from years ago spinning again. I made a thread about her a while ago in here called introvert girl / small town problem.

Coles notes:

her family is heavy into the party scene and I'm good friends with them
she isn't into the party scene
tried to get her on a date but never could
only banged her when she was drinking
set up contact 4 months ago before I moved here
she's been contacting me on MSN lately

Well after giving it some thought and discussing it with one of my real life wings who's actually lived in this town & understands the dynamics, I decided I was going invite her over for dinner one night.

Today she contacts me on MSN and asks for a huge favour. She wanted to borrow a small amount of money. I am lending it to her, I was going to throw a C&F comment in there about her owing me but I chose to be AFC and say nothing. I did however get her home & work number & address as a result.

I'm going to drop off the money after work, I think I'm going to use that opportunity to ask her for dinner sometime.

However the point of this post is because I know I'm acting AFC with her. However I honestly feel if I was too forward I would get shut down. Just like the waitress responds to AFC brother post in main forum, and a comment I made in another post recently, I know that being a DJ won't give us a 100% success rate.

Is there anything that you guys would like to see me add to the experiment? I don't mind having a little fun with this, I like her and she has the most potential of the women I've seen in this small town, but by no means am I about to sell the farm for her.

This is good but asking her to for dinner at your house after lending her money could get on the mind set that you're after her. And that you want to get in her pants. Follow Phyzzle's advice if it is not a substantial amount of money. Else, get your money in FULL and let her take you out to compensate for interest incurred on the loan.

I'm curious why she contacted YOU about the dough.

She could have asked a number of people, right?

-maybe SHE wants to get in your pants; seriously, you've gotta play it out in your favor, but women are drawn to us for a variety of decipherable and simultaneously inscrutable reasons. And it's our job to reach into that emotional swamp and when possible, mold that motley clay into soft, warm, silk.

I'm with you on the AFC stuff: I am trying to burn through and leave all my AFC behind me, but I'm finding out that AFC behavior, used with intelligence and moderation, can sometimes advance my game. Still experimenting with that.

I don't know what your goal is but I would lend her the money but it depends how much it is? If its a few hundred bucks no big deal. If its in the 4 digits range than fvck that.

FYI, the amount was small, only 2 digits. I think the reason why she asked me is because of my reputation. I'm well known and respected in the community as a leader and as I mentioned her family is into the party scene, so they tend to live from paycheck to paycheck. To me, the money is a write off, I'm not concerned about it.

Phyzzle's idea about dinner/drinks is not an option as the bar and 2 restaurants in town have closed down in the past year.

I've been invited to a poker game tonight by the Mayor who's a very close friend, however I'm told to bring a date, so I think I'm going to ask her to come, although I'm going to have to pay her way, so it will depend on the stakes of the game if I invite her or not.

As I posted in another thread, I've managed to create a persona in this town, as a hot commodity, its partially cuz of my social status, looks & image that I've created. I get away with being a manwh0re without a bad reputation. The aunt knows that I've slept with the target (me & the aunt use to be best friends [still close] and she actually encouraged me to pursue her 4 yrs ago), I think one of the sisters knows that I'm interested in the target and would never say anything to her about our one time together, if we were to be dating, the third sister would be the one a little shocked but she may or may not say anything. I actually stopped in at her house last weekend, and she literally ripped my shirt off (well all the buttons as she ripped it open), so she's still interested in me sexually but I avoided her cuz I'm going after her sister.

FYI I've never chased her mom. I'm not attracted to her but I've always wanted a mother daughter combo but thats for another thread.

UPDATE

Well I'm going all out AFC on this one boys. She paid me back last week, however I didn't ask her out when I stopped by to pick up the money. I did however send her a Valentines Day E-Card. It wasn't a hearty or lovey dovey card but a you brighten my day kinda thing and for the title I wrote "Will you be my Valentine" then in the body I wrote

"I've always admired your beauty and strength. It would be nice for us to spend more time together and get to know each other better.

How about dinner?

Well it turns out that she never got the card till the day after (I got notification). So today she contacts me and thanked me for the card and said that it was sweet. LOL We actually had a longer / more in depth conversation than usual. I meant to follow up on the dinner concept, then I got distracted and wasn't chatting with her, so she was like ok I'm going for a break and she was gone.

So now I know at least I'm making progress. However I think I'm going just a tad too slow, although I truly believe with her I think I need to go slow.

FYI primarily posting this because I want to keep a journal of my failures to analyze because when I have success I generally don't think about what I'm doing, I just do it and instinct tells me that this is going to fail but its an experiment.

i think being a DJ is 80% alpha, 20% AFC. Being AFC is okay sometimes, but only sparingly. In your case, i think ur playing it well. Ur probably showing her a side of you that she's never seen before. and thats a good thing.

UPDATE

I ran into her at the store the other day. She was with her mother who was getting something. I was at the checkout and when her mom went to the back of the line, she came up to me and we visited.

So from this I knew that she had some interest and she isn't totally shy to talk to me in public.

So today we were talking a bit, then I popped the question LOL. I asked her if she wanted to rent a movie together, she said sure, maybe. So I pressed a little harder and asked her to set a date, then she was like I dunno, I don't want to arrange a date yet, but soon.

So then I was like thats cool, its all good, then quickly moved on to something else to avoid awkwardness.

So now I'm just going to have to play it by feel, I don't want to press to hard but I hate being stuck in this holding pattern.

Oh another important aspect I forgot to leave out. I went to visit with the aunt on Friday (a good friend) and we were having drinks, well we had some alone time so under the influence I spillt my guts to her about her niece. LOL she was like thats good.

But then a different aunt showed up later and that was cool, but then a girl that I slept with about a month ago also showed up and we ended up sleeping together (at the party). So I know my good friend aunt won't say anything but the other might know about me sleeping with that other girl.

I've got to learn to keep it in the pants as the girl that I slept with was the LR who likes to joke around and is open about her life.

Actually I do have a question for you's. The whole basis behind my going slow and AFCish on this is because I knew what the results were going to be.

So my question is, why would she more less agree to get together and not want to set a time? I think the only route that I'm going to land this one is if I use the b/f routine (spend a lot of time talking to her on the phone, etc.... / stuff that we normally suggest staying away from).

However if I go this route, I'll have to move my extra curricular activites out of town (which may in itself be a good thing)

I kind of did this with the 22 yr old who likes me.

She got engaged and I had serious doubts that I would ever really see her again, so I divulged more info about my personal problems than I normally would just because I needed to vent to someone.

I don't know if it had much bearing on how attracted she is, but it seems like she's still pretty into me.
