I thought I’d share this with you. It speaks volumes on social dynamics, especially about status.
A few days ago I went to my favourite cafe to work. On my way in I noticed a HB 7.5 with a fat dude with bad body language, both 19-20 y.o. I smile towards them, she checks me out, guy gives me a dirty look. I go to some other room (in the smokers section) and start working. At some point they move in the room I’m in and sit on another couch facing me. At this point I don’t pay much attention as I am busy working on something. Chick keeps checking me out, guy’s posture gets worse, he starts talking louder with ample gestures trying to divert her attention towards him.
Well, all this made me think it would make an interesting case and right I was.
At this point it’s obvious she doesn’t want to have anything to do with the guy. She’s just leaning away from the guy as he leans further. Her facial expression and overall body language was the kind one gives to a somebody with bad breath.
A bit later 3 other chicks show up, 2 of them HB 8 and 9. They know the chick with the dude. They are obviously new in town, fresh uni students, not many connections, etc. they sat on a couch next to HB7.5 and fat dude. The HB9, flirty, starts to talking to the fat guy, casual talk mostly. Fat guy was, in her eyes a preselected male. It didn’t matter he was not Clooney.
And then it came, precise as clockwork: HB7.5 senses the competition and suddenly warms up to the fat dude, who starts FEELING and ACTING like a boss.
HB9 and 8 started to talk more and more with the guy, while HB7.5 tried resisting the assault by becoming more territorial, touching the guy from when, only 20 minutes before she was doing her best to avoid his paws.
This is hypergamy in action. You may also notice the confidence boost in the guy. In that moment you could see it on his face, he was thinking “I’m a fvcking god” Unfortunatelly I had to leave, but I think he got the 7.5 HB to spread them at least for a little while.
And the lesson is simple. Get one chick to like you and things are going to be so much easier as long as you're not a giant v-gina.
Also, another important lesson is this: alpha is not about constructing a new self, it's more about rediscovering yourself.
