"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I feel that this is extremely vital in the game of pimping the ponani(please excuse my french).

After all, is this not what the whole purpose of this forum is about, to discuss social awareness? There is a positive correlation between being socially aware and good with the chicks. However, you must not cross the line of being socially aware, as if your too 'aware', then you will always have restrictments, and you will take less risks with the ladies, e.g. preventing yourself from saying some stuff to them, incase they get offended. The extreme version of being socially aware is being socially parinoid, which wont do you any favours in the game.

So, my question to the forum, can being too socially aware hinder your pimping skills? If you are too socially aware, what can you do about it? Get drunk?

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Marseille,

To answer your very last question, if you need to get drunk to help your game, you have more problems than just being socially aware.

Now on to the rest. You should never be overly socially aware, this will put women off as you seem to care too much. You need to be aware enough not to say some blatantly inappropriate things, but that is basically it. I have found that treating a woman like a long lost friend from your past is always good, you are comfortable enough to speak freely, but not so over-the-top to destroy any future meetings.

Hope this helps. As always keep your head up, keep it positive, and be aware enough not to be a punk.

yeah, I can often entertain people/groups fairly well by mixing in some mildly offensive things to my conversations. Usually it's jokes about various social issues or w/e, but sometimes I'll just rip on my friends in a joking way (it usually doesn't piss them off). Being slightly offensive but not over the top is good for laughs.

I don't think offending people or not is what he means by being "socially aware". To me that term means understanding the "dynamic" of the interactions that are taking place between people in a certain setting.

Personally, I used to be socially virtually blind. There were things happening all around me -- social things -- that I was simply never aware of. To me, being socially aware can never be a bad thing. I don't think that it necessarily means you become inhibited because you "know too much". Whether you feel inhibited or restricted is more of a personal thing than simply the result of being too socially aware.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

I'm not sure if you can be "too aware" when it comes to society. Knowing and understanding society and it's levels have never been anything but an aid to me. Getting drunk is definatly not the anwser whatever the case may be though. You want to drink because you want to have a drink and no other reason. If you drink to change conditions around you then you have a developing problem.
