"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Guys Im trying to figure out if my ex is trying to bait me into talking to her again or if she is genuinely just a weird ass *****. I will make this as short as possible.

incident number 1- She contacted me a week ago and said "so can you give me that halloween outfit you bought or did you give it away to your new girl?" (she didn't use the word girl she used "bi$ch"

incident number 2- Three days ago she sends me a text out of the blue with three pictures of her and I together cuddling and smiling with each other and the text said "do you want these before I delete them off my phone"
?

incident number 3- Yesterday I got a snapchat from her and I didn't recognize the name. I asked if she requested me. She said no she didn't and I never responded. an hour later She says "I never sent you a request but if you were looking for an excuse to talk to me than you could have"

incident number 4- I responded to the text and she changes the subject and says "I have no problem keeping contact with you as long as you don't talk **** to me" I said cool we can be friends...so we talked about 5 minutes and we caught up on each others lives a bit and I ended the conversation.

Tonight at 1 o'clock in the morning I get a text from her "hope your staying warm tonight!"

Based on the above, do you guys think she is trying to bait me into talking to her again, or is her ego bruised that I moved on from her so quickly?

Also I responded to that last text asking her "Why would you want to remain friends with a guy who you thought was abusive?"

I felt like I handled the situation really well and Ive come along way on the don juan forum. old me would of probably cursed her out and made myself look weak and stupid. but I am curious on expert don juans opinions. what this woman's intentions and feelings are.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

For the record, it doesn't matter: if she's an ex, communication with her shouldn't even be happening. So, even if she's initiating all these weird text, it's not your job to figure out what she's trying to get you to do; it's your job to IGNORE her and not respond.

With that said: yes, she's sending you text because she's baiting you into conversation because (a) she wants the attention, (b) she wants to feel desired by someone, even if it's an ex, or (c) she wants you back and is trying to do things to give her an excuse to see you, i.e. asking if you have an outfit that she can come get and sending you pics of when you were in intimate contact with each other. Kudos on not cursing her out, but really - you shouldn't have been responding to her in the first place. Exes as "friends" doesn't work, no matter how hard you try to make it, because one party is going to still have feelings for the other and will end up getting butt hurt when their plan of agreeing to "friends" as a way back into relationshipland fails. Or worse - you get back with her, only to find the reasons you two broke up are still there. Been there, done that, not worth it, move on.

I think the healthy answer is: what she wants is irrelevant.

You give power to what you think about.

I got texts similar to these from an ex. It's an attention thing and a safety net thing in my opinion. She keeps in contact just in case she may want you back at some point, she doesn't want to burn the bridge. And she likes attention too. If you respond keep it simple and blunt. Don't let the conversation go anywhere. Or flat out ignore. Whatever the reason, it's a selfish one. Count on it.

Why do you even care? She should be dead in your eyes. In memoriam RIP.
Remember one thing ALL relationships end sooner or later.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
