Alright, there's this girl that I'm attracted to in my grade who's name is Jacquie(pronounced Jackie). What I'm looking for is some advice on how I should approach her in this situation. I had Biology and Band with Jacquie last year, so she already knows who I am, however, we don't have any classes together this year. Recently, I've started saying "Hey Jacquie" to her and she responds "Hey" but not with my name, which is why I'm sort of worried she might've forgotten my name. As far as I know, we already have two things in common, we both play an instrument, and we both do track. Another thing that worries me, is the fact that she talks to a lot of guys, but doesn't have a boyfriend yet. How do I know I just won't become another one of her guy friends? That definitely worries me. She's in the same lunch period as I am, but an obstacle that keeps me from approaching her is her friends. How could I isolate her? Also something I'd like to know. I know by now you guys are probably tired of reading this, so yeah.

Man your trying to leap before you can even crawl. Stop worrying so much about the prom and stop worrying about this one girl. You have to be proactive about this.
Go out and learn how to get good with women in general and then you'll be able to get the specific women that you want.
Your being reactive and wondering about things that are irrelevant.
The only way you get put in the friend zone is if you don't escalate. So so longs you escalate you won't get put in the friend zone.
The thing about getting isolation is you have to know how to handle the group before you can even think about isolating.
First of all can you open comfortably?
Can you gain some sort of attraction and keep attention comfortably?
Are you comfortable with touching and being touched?
Are you in the right mindset? (Unreactive, frame control, etc)
Are you comfortable being center of attention and holding groups?
If your answer is no then your not going to get much results from this one set. An that is why you need to go out and approach tons of women so you can get that calibration and become comfortable with everything. Stop worrying about this little problem when you really have a bigger problem.

I have been approaching women, sure I'm not that good yet, but I've been approaching them. I have to say "no" to most of those since I've never really gotten far with any girls, but I really don't have to do that. Why am I so concerned with prom? That's my goal, to get a date to the prom. If she rejects me, she rejects me, it is what it is. I just need something to open with. Also, we already have two things in common, so I just have to work that into the conversation.Snow Plowman said:

If so, that provides you with an alternative entry method that I remember for the Bible---essentially, you go into the group not focused on the target, but on somebody else, allowing you to feel more comfortable opening (and thus looking and feeling loads more confident).

Listen, I made this post because I need advice on this situation. If you're not going to give any, then you're wasting your time. Either got advice or you don't. Well, if that's all the advice you got and really can't give anymore advice, I should've never made this thread. I got the balls to do it, it's just that I needed advice. Basically, you've told me so far what I already know. It shouldn't be rocket science, you should already have a structure that you can atleast use as a guideline that way your not in this situation saying "I don't know what to say."
You already know her so opening shouldn't even be a problem...Just pump Buying temperature a bit and then basically vibe for a bit. Ask her and see what happens.
The way that I got my prom date (Even though I'm not going no more) is I used roleplaying. Baiscally told the girl I'm taking a helicopter she could come, went into a story about how she could join or would say they only have a week to tell me because we have reharsals for the drop in. Then went chilled for a bit and actually told her I'd really go with her.
It took calibration because the girls didn't know if I was serious or not until one girl came back to me and told me that I was playing with girls feelings because they didn't know if I was serious or not.
The thing is these things are so formal (AFC) that you think you have to ask her to go to the prom with you. If your dominant and have a strong frame you could be joking with her and tell her that she is going with you. An maybe you can even tell her what she is wearing and telling her how everything will go.

Anyways, I'm having second thoughts about Jacquie, or even going to the prom in the first place. I'm just having doubts about Jacquie, something about her that's making me have doubts. Go to the prom. You don't want to regret missing it just because you couldn't find a girl. There should be girls everywhere at lunch, with their friends. Just approach them, preferably ones you don't know so theres very little social reprocussions.
Dude, just stop whining and ask her. The worst she can do is say no. Whether you want to run some game or not beforehand is up to you, but the bottom line is: not asking has the exact same consequences as getting rejected. There is only one way to succeed, and that is by asking her.
