"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

So.. Today I found out the girl I like knows that I've liked her for a while.

Well, I think she should know that because I've done things that are obvious. Like at a sleep over, I slept with her (not sexually) and I put my arm around her and she'd let me, and we also had our hands locked together.

We've done many things alone together.

SO it should be obvious that I like her because she knows what I did and she accepted it. But then why would she lead me on? My friend who's also her best friend said, "i dont wann burst your bubble but i think she only sees you as a good friend."

I replied with "what makes you think so?"

And you know what she said....? "she told me."

Wow. That's sad. I know this friend wouldn't lie to me because I know her well and she knows I'm serious about this. And now that's gay. Does she really see me as that? I mean we've gone through so many things that led me on so falsifully (not a real word, i think). Or is she just saying that to her friend?

And what can I do? I know lots of people have success stories with people who liked one person but the person didn't like that person back. But that person slowly grew into that person and then they actually go out. So.. I don't know. I feel like I'm looking for comfort, motivation, advice, anything to help me. It depresses me sort of even though now that I know for sure that she knows. What do I do in this situation? Should I keep trying or something? Does she really only see me as a good friend... how can I escape this friend zone even though she already knows I like her.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

okay yoda. so noob you are.

as everyone else would say... cut contact from this girl... she'll miss you... trust me on that.

you can't do much until she misses you...

and if she truly thinks of you as a *GREAT* friend... she might actually miss you... but if she's an attention wh0re... don't count on it.

don't bother asking for anymore advice until you cut contact for a while.

if she comes crawling back... come back and ask for advice.

but once you cut contact and she comes talking to you... don't ask her to hangout just yet... the ball is in your court and you have control of the situation. say you have other things to do... that your busy and you have to go and YOU'll message/call her some other time.

once you tell her that come back and update me.

I'm not going to reward you by reading what you wrote.

"I like a girl what should I do" would have been good enough for me.

Do a search on oneitis and you'll get 100 times better advice than anything anybody posts on this thread.

Cut contact, find other girls, find other things to do. Get a life. When she starts showing interest again show her a little more, but never show more interest in her than she does in you.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
