If I could skillfully play an instrument (don't think I've tried) OR sing like a rock god, then music would be my flesh and blood. But alas, I have to settle by listening to lots and lots of different music. It's still great though.

Right now, I downloaded bunch of Tool, Saliva, Ozzy, Collective Soul, Phil Collins, and Airbourne.

Check out Airbourne (they sound like AC/DC...but so what? we need the hard rock back):

What's everyone else listening to? (youtube it if you can)

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

I love hard rock, melodic rock such as Whitesnake, Firehouse, Def Leppard, Motorhead, Saxon, Gary Moore, Tyketto, Dokken, Harem Scarem, Danger Danger, Winger, Pantera, Metallica, Scorpion, AC/DC, Megadeth, Van Halen, Kiss etc.

That, that Airborne song is cool. Very punchy, hard rock that I love!

I love Phil Collins too, especially his stuff with Genesis.

Hard Rock and Melodic Rock forever. F*ck all this emo sh*t, f*ck all this rap and hip hop sh*t, f*ck all this American Idol sh*t!

Not gonna lie, I'm a huge classical music nerd. Favorites are from like the mid 19th century to the mid 20th century.. Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Rimsky-Korsakov, J. Strauss II, R. Strauss, Mahler, Shostakovitch, Barber, Holst (The Planets suite... oh man) the list goes on. I love opera too.. Wagner's operas are amazing.

Then jazz of course.. I'm a jazz guitarist so I love Joe Pass, Wes Montgomery, Pat Martino, Kurt Rosenwinkel... but of course the other instruments John Coltrane, The Brecker Brothers, Joey DeFrancesco, Oscar Peterson, Brad Mehldau, the list goes on. I play oboe too and there are some amazing jazz oboists out there that no one seems to know/care about- Jean Luc Fillon comes to mind.

I ****ing love power metal and symphonic metal. Nightwish is my favorite band, Epica, Kamelot, Rhapsody of Fire, Within Temptation, Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica... and of course Dethklok.

And I love Rap too... Immortal Technique, Talib Kweli, Wu-Tang Clan, Public Enemy.. and of course the stuff on the radio that I listen to as a novelty. Then I love any trance and drunken irish bar music. I listen to a lot of film soundtracks too...I like music.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

No man, Winger rule. Reb Beach is an amazing guitarist and Kip Winger a fantastic singer and songwriter.

Thunder are great too, agreed.

It's learned. Buy an axe, or vocal training resources (or both), and get to work. :woo:

Gotta go with the guitar Gods, with Clapton topping my list at #1. Then the standards of Hendrix, Van Halen, etc.

Also loving Robert Randolph, and my my friend's band Down the Line, who are a local gig, but can play!! The lead musician plays mandolin, harmonica, and violin, while the others play djembe, guitar, and a bass. Live, they all sing and play acoustic (except for the bass guitar), Eagles style. Check them out, http://www.myspace.com/downtheline or http://www.downthelineband.com

Kip Winger a fantastic singer and songwriter.
He did a fantastic acoustic version of Down Incognito on one of his solo albums, and I must say that it's one of my most favorite songs (at least that version). But the rest of his solo stuff is garbage IMO :)
