This is kinda a rant of where I think I'm at right now, I'm hoping my fellow DJ's can relate to where I am and help me understand where to go.
<rant>
Self-proclaimed AFC through and through, it took breaking up with my first love to realise what a ***** I was. I even rang her up to finish it but couldn't bring myself to do it, and do you know what she said when I pushed her on the issue and she said she couldn't do it anymore "You're too nice" and my response? "I know"
And I really did know that I probably was too good for her at times and she just got lazy but I digress.
It was from that moment (and also almost dying earlier this year) that I thought screw it I'm going to live my life for me, I'm going to be the best I possibly can because people have it a lot worse than me so by not achieving all I can in a way I'm letting them down, I owe it to them not to waste my chances.
From that moment I was online looking for stuff to help me, I knew I needed a better physique so I've been gyming for 3 months solid and love it!
I stumbled across SS and it just clicked what I'd been doing wrong, it was like I was blind but now I can see!
I read the DJ Bible through once, twice and I get it...I think.
To me a DJ is someone constantly improving themselves in whatever they chose, be it physically, mentally or through their skillset. I first came across SS looking for ways to get girls but now I realise it is so much more than that, it is a way to improve your life and girls come as a bonus.
With that in mind, I'm going to play more piano when I'm home from uni, finally learn some songs on my ratty bass guitar and likewise for my acoustic.
I'm going to stay fit over the summer, get a job (hopefully 2) and seriously consider learning a language.
I will aim to enjoy every moment while I'm home because before I know it I'll be back at university.
All of that said however, I don't know if I've got the basics down. I understand the need for a positive outlook on life and godamn I'm a positive little sh!t now apart from the self-doubt in this post
and I'm actively making increased effort to increase my social circle and talk to friends of friends, get some smart shoes, shirts and polos to phase out my tshirts all to change my image to match my mindset now.
Plus, I still want the girls obviously and feel so long as I want that and the improvement rather than just the improvement I'm not on the right path as a DJ knows he doesn't need girls in his life and I get that but damn I'm struggling to get it into my head.
So to summary, am I on the right path here guys?
