So i had this Epiphany...What kind of Character or Computer would you build??

*Ok so i think this is like my first time doing this and i think its bible worthy but if the writing is not good enough, please forgive me and help me revise it, but here goes...*

Let me first say that we are all CHARACTERS in this life.

In acting, you can make up a character and make them into real life through acting them out...But i realized we all play characters in our daily lives too. So i ask myself...what can MY character do?
-How does he talk?
-How does he walk?
-What behaviors does he have?
-What are his special interests/hobbies?
-What are his goals in life?
-How does he carry himself in his daily life?
-Is he a smart person?
-Is he funny and interesting?

So i want everyone to write down what YOU as a character have and what you want that character you have and what needs to be done for that character to have the special skills you want it to learn.

-Another example is WOMEN compared to COMPUTERS.

Is she just a basic computer with no upgraded software of any kinda and upgraded hardware?, Meaning theres nothing special about her (Is she a Plain Jane)

OR is she upgraded with FANCY SOFTWARE:

Some Examples would be:

- Knows different languages
- Smart enough to read a map and navigate her way through traffic
- Knows how to drive a Stickshift car
- Knows how to ride a motorcycle
- Has a passion for travel
- Etc..

BAD SOFTWARE:

- Does she have a unattractive personality?
- Can she be a b!tch?

Upgraded HARDWARE:

- Does she have one of those nice LCD monitors (Is she skinny) or CRT monitor (Fat)...ok just a little too much with this one! lol
- Nice colored hair straight from the salon?
- Knows how to put on make up and look Beautiful?
- Nice Tits and As$?

VIRUSES:

- Is she a b!tch?
- Does she treat you like sh!t?
- Does she have any STDs? lol
- Does she get sick?

PUBLIC USE COMPUTER:

- Is she a wh0re and lets everyone play with her or is she for PRIVATE USE only? Meaning 1 BF type of girl.

...Get the point? So now i ask you as a man, what type of hardware and software do you have built into you? What upgrades would you want what steps need to be taken in order for you to do that?

Ok...im not saying literally were computers...OH NEVERMIND! This thread svcks! I guess im the only one that 'gets it'.

Im trying to say basically that were just basic computers meaning average joes but once we learn new things and think better and "upgrade" ourselves we'd be better people and hence upgrade our software and such.

Software = mind/personality

One thing I always have pondered that is kinda related. You actually can put yourself to numbers and this can be a motivation for someone. You are already saying hb9 but instead you could say looks 8 and intelligence 10. And for a computer addict I can see the benefit of thinking that he is "a character" and by doing things he gets "power ups". Maybe by thinking this way he actually starts doing stuff.

A bit offtopic, this is not completely new concept. There are already (atleast 1) consult company who tools with ideas that company gives "xp" to their workers. You are given tasks and best complishers will be awarded, maybe you can see list on the wall reading how much "xp" someone has. etc. Motivation for this company was said to be that so many people are nowadays, and in future, familiar with such patterns and this can make you work hard.

you brought up a metaphor of women=computers... and weren't even consistent on it... you started describing women's personality and looks... you could've totally removed the metaphors and it would still make sense.

you use metaphors to make the actual topic easier to understand... in your case, it made it harder... and more idiotic.

I was just using the computer metaphor because i thought it would open peoples eyes even more....each part hardware and software is like a part of us that we can improve on and hence "upgrade"...whats special out you? what makes you strong? you know what i mean?

In all seriousness, this has been a running joke with pretty much all me ex-GFs.. anytime they did something I didn't like, I'd say

"Looks like its time for an upgrade to Girlfriend 2.0"

They would always laugh, but still give me that look as if to say "how much of this joking is real?"

It works pretty well to keep them in line. I still use it on those rare occasions when the wife acts up. Nothing like a potential upgrade to Wifey 2.0 to keep her in line.. sometimes she uses it on me though
