"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

why? I read something by DeAngelo saying that emails were better and I tried it out, got the email but don't know what to write.help me brainstorm

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I can't think of a single reason why e-mail would be better than phone number.

Most girls have their cell phones on them at all time...Who knows how often a girl checks her e-mail?

If you want to meet up with a girl at a club or party, you can't just e-mail her an hour ahead of time.

I really have no use for a girl's e-mail.

well deangelo actually says this:

If a woman is single, I can walk up to her and get her number in about a minute or two (if I'm in a hurry). I found out later, after working like a mad scientist on this that GETTING PHONE NUMBERS ALONE DOESNT'T EQUAL SUCCESS.

You see, women have many different reasons for giving out their phone numbers. Some love the attention of having a lot of men call them. Some like to turn guys down. Some are actually interested. But the universal feedback that I get from men, and in my personal experience, women act different on the phone than they do in person.

When you call a woman for the first time, she'll often start acting stand offish or even worse, just plain rude. It's almost like she's a different person than the one you met.

I've found that getting an EMAIL address is not only easier, but it gets more positive responses later on. It's almost as if women appreciate it that you've taken the time to think about what you're going to say when you write an email to them, and they think of you more like someone they know.

The other benefit of email is that it can be written and answered anytime.

If you call, you have to actually reach them. But an email can be answered anytime. And I've found that emails are answered FAR more often than voicemail messages.

I've never had email/IM fail for me. Phone is more awkward i feel. But i'm the same guy who won't even talk to his gf or mom on the phone cause i HATE it.

Deangelo doesn't say you email forever. Just the initial couple of correspondences then move to phone/in person once things are a bit established and she actually acts like she wants to talk to you.
