"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

If you guys remember, last week I had to go to a funeral and wake. My ex-gf from 9th grade was there. Actually, she was standing next to me and sitting right in front of me at the funeral. After the funeral, my Mom and rest of fam. the family friends' house she was hosting people to pay their respects for a few days. I went to one of them, but didn't go to the rest, I had to go back to work. If you believe, my mother was talking about me and my "situation" after my LTR with my ex-gf (she didn't even remember). Also, the ex cheated on me with one of my thought to be good friends. She said she has friends who are "not married" who she'd be open to introduce me too. I then asked why are you talking about my life with anyone? Silence.

I feel so embarrassed... I'm not a fvckin charity case... Geez. I do not even talk to my fam. about my relationships and dates. Ehh, fvck my life.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

It is embarrssing but it could open an avenue to some hot friends of hers, no? Networking doesn't make you a charity case. Though based on your previous history I could see not wanting anything to do with her.

I saw her and she was hovering never me. I didn't pay any attention. I do not need hand outs. At 36... oh boy.... My mother and cheating ex-gf playing matchmaker. I'll pass. I have a feeling I am not going to hear the last about this...

It is embarrassing right now, but you will be laughing it off soon.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

All mothers will naturally look out for their sons no matter the age..

It's disgusting but perfectly normal.

Happened to me and will happen to all men, learn to laugh it off and ignore.

I wouldn't worry too much about this Rick.
How old are you now? 36?
Are you really worried about a chick you dated at 15 years old?
Seriously?

Mothers can be a pain in the azz sometimes. My mother is very red pill regarding most of her everyday life, but she continued to want to try and shove blue pill propaganda down my throat until just a few years ago.. One day I sat down and told her that I was well aware that a lot of the stuff she fed me as a child was a line of sh|t, and that I did not appreciate her continuing to do so to me as an adult because it was not gonna work. I gave her two choices 1) STOP or 2) I disown her and never talk to her again, in the same manor in which I disowned one of my sisters. She admitted that it was wrong and that she needed to stop trying to "baby" me. By early 40s, better late then never I guess..

Worried? No. Just felt a bit like a failure and a charity case when my HS ex and and my mother are talking about my personal life. The two do not even know each other. I hadn't seen her for 20+ years. She looks the same, a bit tired, but kept her body. Married with 2 kids in an upscale area of Connecticut. She made sure to tell mom that. I thought that was weird.

I told my mom to mind her own business and stay out of my personal life. She hasn't mentioned it since, but it was still pretty embarrassing. This is what I get for being a good person and going to a wake and funeral for a family friend.
