"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Met up with this girl on monday. It was like the first time we've ever seen each other in person after our first initial meeting online 6 months ago. We did hit it off pretty good back then, and she was addicted to me. But yeah, it was all good for 2 months till her ex bf came back and she kinda "dumped" me, couldn't do anything about it cuz I was in Vancouver and she was way over the pacific ocean. I was a wuss cuz I thought I was losing her completely, so I became super pathetic and told her that I liked her a lot and if there were problems or if she was unhappy, I was always there for her and all that BS.. Of course it didn't work, and we didn't talk much after that, Just occasionally when she asks me stuff on maths or when she doesnt have anything else to do.

Anyways, enough of the history. Met her up on Monday and she was sooo cold. She didn't even look at me when we talked and walked, she just kept on looking forward instead of looking at me when she spoke to me, how rude. Tried some conversation and jokes to make her feel comfortable. We went to a movie and I paid for the tix. But by the time we sat down in the movie theatre, she paid me back, and she overpaid. So I was like "hey, u overpaid" and shes like "its alright, I don't have change, keep the rest." And hey, I just did what I was supposed to and I gave her back the rest of the money, I didn't wanna owe her anything, geez. So I could feel some mirroring goin on during the movie cuz we said the same thing at the same time, and how the way we both put our hands and all that.

So we went to another place after the movie. Went searching for a prom dress. And as usual, the negs about her not being able to fit in that dress without it falling off and making jokes about those weird and ugly designer clothes. We sat down for a snack and we just sat there talking. Was gonna pay the bill when she said she didn't have change and paid for me... AGAIN! This time, she even told me that I didn't have to pay her, and I did pay her back.

Went somewhere else after that for the same reason - prom dress. I noticed that she was tangling and sorta playing with her hair while we were walkin around. She also playfully hit me on the back cuz of a neg. I had to go into a shop to buy a super cheap card holder. AND SHE DID IT AGAIN! She paid like 2/3 of the money cuz she said she had change??! WTF?

So we sat down and had dinner at around 9:30pm as we sorta forgot about the time cuz of all the convo and walkin around. She ordered barbecued chicken and I had some sorta rice. I was thinkin that we'd eat ours seperately. After she finished off her 2nd "chicken strip", she wrapped one of them neatly with a small napkin and dipped it into some mayo and handed it to me... I was flabbergasted. Totally unexpected(Too bad she didn't feed it to me, LOL).

I didn't take her home, and I decided to end it by going home seperately.

So heres the catch. What do you guys think? Did I pull it off successfully or anything here that I needa improve on? And why does she keep on helping me pay, there must be something to it, or I might just be thinking too much?

Also, after the date, we've been talking online almost everyday. She could just message me and tell me that shes eating doritoes at 1am in the morning. I neg her all the time on MSN, and she asked me this weird question last night. She said "Why do you keep on making fun of me or either bust on everything I say? No one I've known in my life has treated me like that!" I just answered "does that make me special?" She said "no!" So I replied "Well its fun to bust on you and make fun of you, you just look so cute when you get all speechless!!" and shes like " okay, I'm not talking to you anymore " and gets into AWAY mode. I put on a -- and said AWWW common, pretty girls should know how to be more nice and accept criticism better~ And she replied and said that she was just taking a shower

Yeah.. we sorta have a date probably next week, and planning to go to the beach, and a 3rd date to go to the movies again. You guys think I'm gonna pull this off?

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

the not talking thing was on MSN for a few months
I had to wait till she kinda forgot the negative feelings of our last "relationship" we had together..

but during the date, I tried my best not to bore her bloody eyes out:nervous:

Often times when girls REFUSE to let a guy pay for anything, they are doing it to let him know that there is NO ROMANTIC INTEREST on their part. I don't think your pulling anything off except successfully becoming this girl's best "girlfriend." Your too available, too nice and too apologetic for nothing, not to mention all the compliments you drop her when you apologize for being a man.

You don't have a chance, sorry bro.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.
