So there's this popular group of a few jock/"gangsta" guys at my school...I socialize with them, don't hang out though. They made this facebook online club about a cool teacher at my school and how they've all experienced his "wrath" and such. My friends and I happened to be on the main site in his class, and the teacher came by and laughed at something. Soo, I thought hey, this teacher has a good sense of humor, what will he think of the club dedicated to him?
Huge mistake. The teacher thought it was funny (laughed) BUT there was something on it apparently that might have offended him and he said he was going to get the leader in trouble. I protested and said don't get any of them in trouble, it was just a joke, etc...he laughed and said he'd make sure the blame isn't on me. As good as his intentions are, I don't think he can prevent that. In fact, I think it's too late...
BECAUSE some people nearby blamed me and weren't happy that those jocks were going to get busted. So naturally, they told the jocks (and the leader) that I showed the teacher their club.
Now the whole jock group of about 5 is turning their backs against me. The leader (who I usually talk to a lot in one class) seems to hate me now, he actually acted extremely bully-like, threatening me that he could break my arms off and squeezing the life out of my hand. Not to mention the people who were with me are spreading the whole incident around to everyone, and I mean EVERYONE. I'm in a private school of about 100 per class, so it's really no exageration to say that I just earned a *****y tattle-take reputation today. And everyone HATES bratty tattle-tales.
I REALLY need some help here. I am not a tattle-tale, and I TRIED to explain that I only showed the page thinking the teacher would laugh. I was honestly not trying to get them in trouble. But of course nobody thinks that. I hope the whole thing blows away and is forgotten, but how can I defend myself vocally in this case? For that matter physically as well (like that instant with the bully when he was squeezing my small skinny hand like a stress ball).
This is seriously bothering me. I've never felt like the majority of the class hates me before. I realize now I was pretty stupid and shouldn't have shown the teacher in the first place, but I can't change the past. Help would be massively appreciated.
