"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Title just about sums it up, but heres some backstory for you guys.

Last month or so we've all been going out (uni friends and I) quite frequently, I've noticed one of my friends looking at me pretty frequently. Gut says that she likes me, but I think nothing of it, don't voice it to anybody and go on with my evenings.

2 weeks ago roughly I'm out in town, and she's wearing a builders hat, which I steal, she doesn't make much of a fuss, we dance a little and then I go to the bar. At the bar I get chatting to some people, then go to toilet. In the toilet I bump into one of the boys who I'm out with, he's much better friends with the girl than I am. Anyway he askes me where I got the hat, and I say yea I stole it off of ----.

To this he replies, 'Oh right, you know I could make that happen if you wanted you know' I laught it off and say I'm not interested, to which he says 'Ah ok, but she does kinda like you' again I laugh it off and say 'Of course she does, only natural' or something along those lines, and continue on my night.

Thinking back now, there has been multiple times in the last month where she has just ended up next to me/in front of me on the dancefloor when we are out, pretty sure some of the other girls have been pushing her towards/into me too.

I tell a couple friends about it, they are both a little surprised, one tells me it's my decision. The other has already had sex with her and starts listing her pro's and con's to me haha.

I then tell my housemate, again he tells me to go for it. I don't answer with a yes or no. Thing is he has probably told his GF, who lives with some of the girls, and we all know what happens when a girl finds something it.

So at this stage I'm pretty sure she knows that I know she likes me, yet I'm still doing nothing, just being myself.

She is only a HB5, so I'm not too keen on it, and she's a friend, don't really think of her like that.

The question then, do I go for the lay (which would be number 1:cheer: ) or not, are there other options?

Again, I'm not interested in this girl at all.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Only bang girls you like. By banging her, she will get attached and there will be a fallout, which may hurt your social network.

Are you seriously friends? Does she have any hotter friends? If so, just stay friends with her and use her to hook up with her hotter friends. If you don't make a move she will get that you're not into her.

I have female friends that I only see at big parties or out in big groups. The hookups you get through them are the best because the girls you meet with inherently trust you more.

Thanks Deep Dish, that was more or less what I was thinking, to me it would be just be sex, to her it might be more, especially because she already likes me. I get what you mean about the social network too, there's already been plenty of drama with other people who hooked up/dated in our group and then it ended badly, I'm not interested in that at all.

Just seen your respons Uncharted, she is a friend yeah. Not a particularly close one, but I normally see her a couple times a week. She does have hotter friends too, but most of them I already know and see at least somewhat regularly.

Problem with my social circle is that alot of the people are only friends with the people in the group, they don't mix too much with others as it's a massive group. There's genuinely only a handful of us that could go on a night out with a different group of friends. I still manage to meet a fair number of people though.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

If I wouldn't marry em, no fvck. Cause way too often, it gets too serious, too fast. Either that, or she's got some disease, etc. If no vasectomy, better watch your ass, real close, for the "daddy" ploy!
